摘要: A portable apparatus for configuring a wheel associated with a track is provided. The apparatus is in a fixed position with respect to a rail associated with the track when in operation. The apparatus includes a tool configured to engage the wheel, a position system for positioning the cutting tool in at least two axis, and a computer control. The computer control is coupled to control the positioning system. The positioning system is controlled so that the wheel is configured in accordance with a profile.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for reprofiling wheelsets (1) rotatably mounted in axle bearing housings (6) on rail vehicles on underfloor wheelset lathes (12; 14) equipped with machining tools, a machine control for the machining tools, drive rollers (15), axial guide rollers (17), measuring rollers (13) as well as clamping devices (21; 22) to engage the axle bearing housings (6). The method is characterised in that the wheelset (1) is lifted off the rail using the drive rollers (15), weighing it in the process, the axle bearing housings (6) are fixed between the drive rollers (15) and the clamping devices (21; 22), an axial guide roller (17) is adjusted to touch the inner side (16) of each of the two wheels (3; 4) of the wheelset (1) and fixed in this position, an additional force (20) is applied to the drive rollers (15), that the actual diameter (8) and the wear profile of each wheel (3; 4) is determined by means of a measuring roller (13), that the smaller actual diameter is determined based on the measurement results and, it having been modified by a specified machining allowance, entered as the nominal diameter (11) into the machine control for the machining tools.

摘要: This invention relates to an underfloor wheel set lathe for the profiling of wheel sets of trackbound vehicles of the type in which the wheels are at least in part supposed by rolls carried by a roll carrier, at least one of the rolls being driven. Movement of the roll carrier is resisted by a horizontally acting brake mechanism which permits vertical lifting movements of the carrier. The force with which horizontal movement is resisted may, by suitable hydraulic means, be controlled as a function of the cutting force or driving force imparted to the wheels, the lifting force exerted against the wheels, or otherwise coordinated with the force applied in the course of profiling.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for reprofiling wheel disks (7) or brake disks of a railway wheel or wheelset (6), rotatably mounted in bearing housings (9), by machining using a machine tool (12), which is designed to be portable, a wheel disk (7) of the railway wheel or the wheelset (6) being pressed against backup rolls (16) on its circumference by a clamping element (14, 15), which engages on at least one bearing housing (9), at least one of the backup rolls setting the railway wheel or the wheelset (6) into rotation, while simultaneously a tool (20) machines one of the wheel (7) or brake disks. The invention also relates to a machine tool (12) for carrying out the method. This machine tool (12) has a portable support frame (11) having a clamping element (14, 15) for engaging on a closed inner and/or outer bearing housing (9) of the railway wheel or wheelset (6), and at least one backup roll (16), which may be pressed against the outer circumference of the wheel disk (7), on whose bearing housing(s) (9) the clamping element (14, 15) engages, at a mutual distance to one another opposite to the clamping element (14, 15), a drive for at least one of the backup rolls (16), and a tool (20) for machining wheel (7) or brake disks (23) of the railway wheel or wheelset (6).

摘要: An under-the-floor lathe for re-machining the wheels in railroad-vehicle wheel sets. It has two assemblies for each wheel in the set. Each assembly comprises an upright, a swiveling head, an axle-bearing support, a hold-down, two friction rollers that can be positioned against one of the wheels, and a friction-roller holder. At least one of the friction rollers in each holder is powered. Each holder rotates around an axis that travels along the mid-plane of the lathe. The object is to accelerate the machining action without using brakes that engage the friction-roller holders. Two pressure-application devices that generate opposite torques in relation to their associated pivoting axis are attached to each friction-roller holder.
