    摘要: There are provided aqueous pumpable stable suspensions of a water insoluble silicate capable of binding calcium ions which contain based on the total weight of the aqueous suspension(A) as the silicate capable of binding calcium 0.5 to 80 weight percent of a finely divided, bound water containing, synthetically produced, water insoluble compound of the general formula(Cat.sub.2/n O).sub.x.Me.sub.2 O.sub.3.(SiO.sub.2).sub.y (I),in which Cat is a cation exchangeable with calcium and which has the valence n, x is a number from 0.7 to 1.5, Me is boron or aluminum and y is a number between 0.8 and 6 and(B) as a dispersingly active component 0.5 to 6 weight percent of a mixture of at least two different alkylphenolethoxylates of the formula ##STR1## where R is an alkyl group of 1 to 15 carbon atoms. The component A especially can be a zeolite A while component B can consist of two alkylphenolethoxylates of formula (II) in which m is 2 to 7 and m is 8 to 15. The suspension can be employed for the production of powdery washing agents and detergents.

    摘要: Alkylamine polyether surface active agent compositions and methods for using are described. The instant compositions are low foaming, and pH sensitive and are generally of the structure: ##STR1## in which (a) R.sub.1 may be hydrogen or alkyl;if R.sub.1 is hydrogen then R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 must be alkyl having a total number of carbon atoms falling in the range of 7 to 23;if R.sub.1 is alkyl, then R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may be alkyl or hydrogen, the total number of carbon atoms in R.sub.1 +R.sub.2 +R.sub.3 +R.sub.4 falling in the range of 7 to 36 (preferably about 10 to 20);(b) The --(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 O).sub.m -- segment must be a poly(oxyethylene) homogeneous chain or "block" polymer (i.e., a homopolymer), m having an average value in the range of 1 to 15, preferably 5 to 13; and(c) Y is selected from the group consisting of:(1) homogeneous poly(oxypropylene) chain (PO) "block" polymer or residue (i.e., a homopolymer), of the structure --(C.sub.3 H.sub.6 O).sub.n H, n having a value in the range of 1 to 50, preferably 6 to 30;(2) hydrophobic end cap (e.g., --CH.sub.2 --.phi.); and(3) hydrophobic end capped polyoxypropylene residue.A particularly preferred class of surfactants of the instant invention constitutes 1,1,1-trialkylmethylamine ethyleneoxy(EO)-propyleneoxy(PO) polyethers having from 1 to 15 moles of ethyleneoxide residue and from 1 to 50 moles of propyleneoxide per mole of alkylmethylamine.The methods of the instant invention generally relate to the production of paper from secondary fiber. Unexpectedly, the compositions of the instant invention are found to be applicable in the common methods employed very pH sensitive, size-safe and to produce paper products from secondary fiber.

    摘要: A composition for recovering and upgrading sludge that accumulates in vessels for storing and transporting petroleum products comprises a solvent made up of at least one aliphatic hydrocarbon and at least one aromatic monohalogenated hydrocarbon of the benzene or naphthalene type, together with a demulsifying and dispersing agent that is an aliphatic straight-chain oxyethylated amineated derivative or a quaternary ammonium compound having at least one alkyl and at least one aryl residue in the form of thiocyano derivative.The composition is dissolved in a hydrocarbon in a proportion of from 2 to 10% by weight, the resulting solution is projected on to the residues at a pressure of from 2 to 15 bars, and the resulting suspension is recycled, recovered, and treated like crude oil.The invention is applied to the recovery and upgrading of sludges which accumulate in storage vessels and petroleum product transport vessels, whether they are on the ground or on land or sea transport vessels.

    摘要: A process for the production of a mixed formal of polyglycol ethers having formulae selected from the group consisting of ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a straight or branched chain alkyl having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and R.sup.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and straight or branched chain alkyl having from 1 to 17 carbon atoms, where the sum of the carbon atoms in R.sup.1 plus R.sup.2 is from 6 to 18, R.sup.3 is a member selected from the group consisting of monoalkylphenyl having from 14 to 26 carbon atoms, dialkylphenyl having from 14 to 26 carbon atoms, trialkylphenyl having from 14 to 26 carbon atoms, a straight or branched chain alkyl having from 8 to 22 carbon atoms, a straight or branched chain alkenyl having from 8 to 22 carbon atoms, and a radical having the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 have the above assigned values, and R.sup.5 is selected from the group consisting of a straight or branched chain alkyl having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, phenyl and alkylphenyl having from 7 to 9 carbon atoms, R.sup.4 is a straight or branched chain alkyl having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, A and B are selected from the group consisting of ethylene and isopropylene, m and n are integers from 0 to 50, p is an integer from 2 to 50, and q is an integer from 0 to 3, where the sum of m plus n is from 2 to 50, consisting essentially of the steps of(1) reacting a polyglycol ether having the formulae selected from the group consisting of ##STR3## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, A, m, n and p have the above-assigned meanings, with a diformal having the formulaR.sup.4 --O--(B--O).sub.q --CH.sub.2 --(O--B).sub.q --O--R.sup.4wherein R.sup.4, B and q have the above-assigned meanings, at a temperature of from 60.degree. to 150.degree. C. in the presence of a strong acid, while employing from 2 to 10 mols of said diformal per mol of hydroxyl groups in said polyglycol ether.(2) distilling off the alcohol formed having the formulaR.sup.4 --O--(B--O).sub.q --H(3) neutralizing,(4) distilling of unreacted diformal, and(5) recovering said mixed formal of polyglycol ethers; as well as novel mixed formals of polyglycol ethers produced by the process.
