    Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning the outer side of the hull of a marine vessel and for cleaning the wall of cargo holds, the apparatus including a housing provided with magnetic continuous tracks at opposing lateral sides of the housing, a front wheel and a rear wheel for each of the magnetic continuous tracks, each magnetic continuous track including a plurality of links interconnected by drive pins, the links having an inwardly facing side and an outwardly facing side, a guide configured to engage the drive pins for preventing the links in a first portion of the extent of the of at least one of the magnetic continuous tracks between the front wheel and the rear wheel from moving in the direction in which the outwardly facing side faces and a submersible apparatus for cleaning the outer side of the hull of a marine vessel and for cleaning the wall of cargo space in the cargo holds that comprises a watertight housing provided with continuous magnetic tracks at opposing lateral sides of the housing. A watertight housing provided with continuous magnetic tracks at opposing lateral sides of said housing. At least one drive motor in the housing operably connected to at least one continuous magnetic track for driving the continuous magnetic tracks. The housing being provided with a main side between the continuous magnetic tracks.

    Abstract: Device for cleaning the interior of elongated tanks or tanks where access to the interior is limited consisting of a tank cleaning machine attached to a source of cleaning liquid. The tank cleaning machine is movably affixed to a track and drives along the track during the cleaning operation, the track extending through the area of the tank to be cleaned so that the cleaning operation extends to portions of tank interior where access from the outside is limited. An externally mounted gas tight winch is preferred as the drive means. A flexible hose provides connection between the tank cleaning machine and the source of cleaning liquid and the hose may be calibrated so that the position of the tank cleaning machine within the tank can be determined. Entry to the tank interior for mounting and dismounting the tank cleaning machine on the track is through an entry port located adjacent one end of the track.

    Abstract: A cleaning system for cleaning a plurality of service tanks located at different sites spaced widely apart from each other. A set of storage tanks is located at one site, for storing cleaning solutions, each cleaning solution being recirculated through a respective recirculating line from each storage tank. The cleaning system further includes cleaning stations, one for each service tank assembly, each located close to its respective service tank assembly, each cleaning station having a connection to each recirculating line. Each cleaning station includes a wash/motive tank for a washing liquid, a rinse tank for a rinsing liquid, and an outlet line leading from each of the wash/motive tank and the rinse tank. Liquid is conveyed from the outlet lines of the wash/motive tank and rinse tank to the respective service tank assembly via a feed line. A return line is adapted to return liquid from the respective service tank assembly. An eductor has a vacuum opening connected to the return line. A motive pump delivers liquid from the outlet line of the wash/motive tank through the eductor to create a vacuum in the return line and draw liquid from the service tank assembly. Also included is a method of cleaning the service tank assemblies by use of the cleaning stations.
