Abstract: Provided is a composition for forming a hard coating layer, which includes an epoxy siloxane resin, a crosslinking agent including a compound having an alicyclic epoxy group, a thermal initiator including a compound represented by a specific chemical formula, a photoinitiator, a fluorine-substituted (meth)acrylate compound, and silica nanoparticles surface-modified with a fluorine compound, and forms a hard coating layer having excellent hardness and antifouling property and suppressing curling.

Abstract: Methods for forming latexes are provided. In an embodiment, such a method comprises adding a monomer emulsion comprising water, a monomer, an acidic monomer, a hydrophilic monomer, a difunctional monomer, a first reactive surfactant, and a chain transfer agent, to a reactive surfactant solution comprising water, a second reactive surfactant, and an initiator, at a feed rate over a period of time so that monomers of the monomer emulsion undergo polymerization reactions to form resin particles in a latex. The reactive surfactant solution does not comprise monomers other than the second reactive surfactant, the reactive surfactant solution does not comprise a resin seed, and the monomer emulsion does not comprise the resin seed. The latex is characterized by a viscosity in a range of from about 10 cP to about 100 cP as measured at a solid content of about 30% and at room temperature. The latexes are also provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a two-component polyurethane adhesive composition and a bonding method thereof. The two-component polyurethane adhesive composition includes A) a polyol component, and B) an isocyanate component. The polyol component includes A1) one or more polyether polyols, and the isocyanate component includes B1) a first isocyanate prepolymer, wherein the first isocyanate prepolymer is polymerized from isocyanate and a non-linear chain extender. The two-component polyurethane adhesive composition of the present disclosure has good mechanical properties, in particular, high G modulus and high elongation. The polyol component in the two-component polyurethane adhesive composition has good phase stability, and good miscibility with the isocyanate component. The two-component polyurethane adhesive composition of the present disclosure can be used for the production and manufacture of mechanical parts such as automobile components.
