Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing periodic CSI reports and/or aperiodic CSI reports to provide CSI for both anchor and non-anchor TDD subframes in eIMTA. Periodic CSI reports may be provided based on a reference configuration, and aperiodic CSI reports may be provided based on a time of reception of a CSI request and a reference configuration. A UE may determine to report anchor or non-anchor CSI through explicit or implicit signaling. Aperiodic CSI may be used for transmission of anchor subframe CSI reports and periodic CSI may be used for transmission of non-anchor subframe CSI reports, or aperiodic CSI may be used for transmission of non-anchor subframe CSI reports and periodic CSI may be used for transmission of anchor subframe CSI reports. A determination of the reference subframe for aperiodic CSI estimation may be based on a time of receipt of an aperiodic CSI request.
Abstract:
Aspects relate to a Remote NodeB Relay that appears similar to a NodeB, a Radio Network Controller (RNC), and served mobile devices. Also provided is a Super-Light Router Relay that can provide better performance and QoS to served mobile devices while mitigating modifications to mobile devices, NodeBs, or interfaces between RNC and intermediary NodeBs. Aspects also relate to an Internet Protocol (IP) Relay that requires few, if any, modifications to mobile devices, NodeBs, or interfaces between RNC and intermediary NodeBs. Further, changes to an RNC and/or a core network can be mitigated though utilization of a strategic Relay Gateway.
Abstract:
Aspects describe utilizing a dedicated reference signal for supporting Network MIMO, distributed MIMO, Coordinated MultiPoint, and the like. A data modulation symbol is transmitting in the same direction as a pilot modulation symbol is transmitted. Two or more wireless devices can coordinate communications such that transmission of the same pilot modulation symbol and the same data modulation symbol are transmitted to a device in different directions, each direction associated with a wireless device and intended for a particular mobile device. Cluster-specific scrambling and/or user-group specific scrambling can be employed and a scrambling code can be communicated prior to transmission of the pilot modulation symbols and data modulation symbols.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for demapping a double squared quadrature amplitude modulated (DSQ) symbol is disclosed. One or more first log likelihood ratios (LLRs) are determined, for a first subset of constellation points of a corresponding DSQ constellation, using an LLR approximation. One or more second LLRs are determined, for a second subset of constellation points of the DSQ constellation, using a lookup table. The DSQ symbol is then demapped to one of a plurality of constellation points of the DSQ constellation based on the first and second LLRs. For some embodiments, the first subset of constellation points may correspond with an inner region of the DSQ constellation and the second subset of constellation points may correspond with an outer region of the DSQ constellation.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for a two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform based codebook for elevation beamforming. A two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform based codebook is determined for elevation beamforming. The codebook supports single stream codewords and multistream codewords. The two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform based codebook is generated by stacking the columns of the matrix product of two discrete Fourier transform codebook matrices. The codebook size may be flexibly designed based on required beam resolution in azimuth and elevation. A best codebook index is selected from the generated two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform based codebook. The selected codebook index is provided in a channel state information report. The channel state information report is transmitted to a base station.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for reconfiguring a user equipment (UE) to operate in a reconfigured TDD UL-DL configuration. An initial uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configuration for TDD communication may be provided for communication between an e Node B and a UE. One or more subframes within each frame transmitted using the initial UL-DL configuration may be identified as flexible subframes. The identification of flexible subframes may permit the identification of timing for HARQ transmissions that does not change when a reconfiguration takes place. A different UL-DL configuration may be transmitted to the UE, in which at least one flexible subframe is to be changed from an uplink subframe to a downlink subframe. The different UL-DL configuration may be transmitted by, for example, a pseudo-uplink grant to the UE, which indicates that the UE is to reconfigure one or more flexible subframes from uplink to downlink transmission.
Abstract:
Dynamic intra-cluster coordination for TDD UL-DL reconfiguration using distributed TDD UL-DL reconfiguration techniques and/or new physical layer signaling. Cell weighting techniques may be used so that distributed TDD UL-DL reconfiguration of the cell cluster can be weighted towards cells of the cluster with higher load. Cells within a cell cluster may independently determine their preferred TDD UL-DL reconfiguration and one or more cells of the cluster may be eligible cells for determining the TDD UL-DL reconfiguration for the cluster. Special subframes may be used for transmission of TDD UL-DL reconfiguration messages from the configuring cell and transmission of ACK messages from other cells of the cluster. The TDD UL-DL reconfiguration message may be an orthogonal sequence based on a signature determined by the cell ID of the configuring cell.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus groups subframes of a time division duplex (TDD) configuration of a serving cell into a set of anchor subframes and a set of non-anchor subframes. The apparatus also separately bundles positive acknowledgements (ACKs) and/or negative acknowledgements (NACKs) of the anchor subframes, and ACKs and/or NACKs of the non-anchor subframes.
Abstract:
Interference mitigation solutions are disclosed for interference experienced based on asymmetric uplink (UL)/downlink (DL) slot configuration. The aggressor/victim network entities are identified using either measurement or static/semi-static means, such that the victim network entities that may be impacted by interference from aggressor network entity transmissions are identified. Inter Cell Interference Coordination (ICIC) mechanisms are extended to negotiate and address scheduling that intelligently mitigates interference that occurs in the colliding slots.
