Abstract: A unit size of a to-be-processed unit corresponding to a first transform coefficient set is determined using division information. Then, a quantization regulation factor for the first transform coefficient set is determined according to a first preset algorithm and the unit size of the to-be-processed unit, and with the first preset algorithm, the quantization regulation factor decreases progressively with the size of the to-be-processed unit. Dequantization processing is performed on a transform coefficient in the first transform coefficient set according to a second preset algorithm using the quantization regulation factor. Therefore, a decoding device adaptively determines the quantization regulation factor for the first transform coefficient set according to the unit size of the to-be-processed unit, and then performs dequantization processing on the transform coefficient in the first transform coefficient set using the determined quantization regulation factor.

Abstract: An intra-frame encoding method, an intra-frame decoding method, an encoder, and a decoder, where the intra-frame encoding method includes obtaining reference pixel values of a current picture block obtaining a predicted value of a first-type pixel in the current picture block according to the reference pixel values of the current picture block using an intra-frame prediction algorithm, obtaining residual values of the first-type pixel, obtaining transform coefficients according to the residual values of the first-type pixel, quantizing the transform coefficients, reconstructing the first-type pixel according to the quantized transform coefficients and the predicted value of the first-type pixel, and obtaining a reconstructed value of the second-type pixel according to the reconstructed value of the first-type pixel using an interpolation method. Hence, flexible encoding can be implemented, and encoding efficiency can be improved.

Abstract: A prediction mode determining method and apparatus are described. A prediction mode status of a child node of a target node is determined based on an area and a split manner of the target node, where the prediction mode status includes intra prediction mode only and inter prediction mode only. Further, a prediction mode of the child node is determined based on the prediction mode status of the child node. In this way, a same prediction mode is used for all child nodes obtained by splitting the target node. This facilitates pipeline processing of hardware, increases a subsequent processing speed, and improves video coding efficiency.
