Abstract: Systems and methods are described for monitoring an individual subject and facilitating a motion regimen of the individual subject. In an aspect, a system includes, but is not limited to, a deformable substrate; a sensor assembly configured to generate one or more sense signals based on detection of at least one of a movement of the body portion or at least one physiological parameter of the body portion; a processor configured to receive the one or more sense signals, the processor including circuitry configured to identify a physiological state of the individual subject based on at least one of the movement of the body portion or the at least one physiological parameter of the body portion; and an effector operably coupled to the processor and configured to effect at least one predetermined motion of the body portion corresponding to a motion regimen responsive to control by the processor.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for storing, reading, and writing data using particle-based acoustic wave driven shift registers. The shift registers may physically shift particles along rows and/or columns of wells through the interactions of two parallel surfaces. A transducer may generate an acoustic wave to displace one or more of the two parallel surfaces. The particles may be transferred to and/or otherwise constrained by a buffer surface during at least a portion of the acoustic wave, such that the particles may be shifted during one or more cycles of the acoustic wave. In various embodiments, the amplitude of the acoustic wave may correspond to the spacing distance between each of the wells. The wells may be physical and/or potential wells.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to devices, systems, and methods for monitoring pregnancy of a female pregnant subject. For example, a pregnancy monitoring system can detect movement or motion of a pregnant subject and/or of the fetus in the pregnant subject. Additionally or alternatively, the pregnancy monitoring system can detect internal and/or external source loads applied to the pregnant subject. In an embodiment, the pregnancy monitoring system can compare and/or correlate two or more loads, one to another (e.g., to produce an output that is in part based on such comparison and that is related to the wellbeing of the pregnant subject and/or of the fetus). For example, the pregnancy monitoring system can include a controller that is configured to determine and compare two or more loads based on signals received from one or more sensors that can be positioned on the pregnant subject.

Abstract: Systems and related methods for controlling an ear stimulation device with a personal computing device, based on analysis of an image of a user of the personal computing device captured with a camera associated with the personal computing device, are described. One or more parameter is determined from the processed image, including, but not limited, to user identity, emotion, physiological condition, or placement of a stimulator earpiece, and control of the ear stimulation device is based thereon. If the earpiece is located incorrectly, in an aspect, delivery of a stimulus is prevented. In another aspect, the user is notified of the need to reposition an incorrectly located earpiece.

Abstract: An electrochemical reactor for removing mining constituents from a fluid is disclosed. The electrochemical reactor includes a housing defining a flow path and a pump configured to continuously move fluid through the flow path at a flow rate. The electrochemical reactor also includes a power supply coupled to the housing, an anode and a cathode coupled to the power supply, and a controller configured to selectively engage the power supply power supply. The power supply applies an electrical potential between the anode and the cathode when engaged.

Abstract: A system for sealing a leak within a pipeline for transporting fluid includes a sealing device that is deployable to seal the leak. The sealing device includes a flexible wall formed into a substantially tubular shape defining an opening, and an internal frame coupled to the flexible wall and configured to control a movement of the flexible wall by applying a force to the flexible wall, wherein the movement of the flexible wall moves the sealing device through the pipeline. The system also includes a sensor assembly configured to monitor a pipeline condition and send a signal representing the pipeline condition, and a control module configured to receive the signal and control the force applied by the internal frame based on the signal.
