摘要: A method for decoding an encoded video bit stream in a video decoder is provided that includes determining a scan pattern type for a transform block to be decoded, decoding a column position X and a row position Y of a last non-zero coefficient in the transform block from the encoded video bit stream, selecting a column-row inverse transform order when the scan pattern type is a first type, selecting a row-column inverse transform order when the scan pattern type is a second type, and performing one dimensional (1D) inverse discrete cosine transformation (IDCT) computations according to the selected transform order to inversely transform the transform block to generate a residual block.

摘要: A favorable merging or grouping of simply connected regions into which the array of information samples is sub-divided, is coded with a reduced amount of data. To this end, a predetermined relative locational relationship is defined enabling an identifying, for a predetermined simply connected region, of simply connected regions within the plurality of simply connected regions which have the predetermined relative locational relationship to the predetermined simply connected region. Namely, if the number is zero, a merge indicator for the predetermined simply connected region may be absent within the data stream. In other embodiments, spatial sub-division is preformed depending on a first subset of syntax elements, followed by combining spatially neighboring simply connected regions depending on a second subset of syntax elements, to obtain an intermediate sub-division.

摘要: Various implementations for video encoding and decoding are presented involving determining, for a block being encoded or decoded in a picture, a coefficient group mode for coding at least one coefficient of a set of transform coefficients of the image block; encoding or decoding the set of transform coefficients of the image block responsive to the coefficient group mode. The coefficient group mode can be determined from at least one of image block size, number of non-zero transform coefficients inside the image block, position of a transform coefficient inside the image block, decoded syntax element, wherein the coefficient group mode can specify whether a coefficient group significance flag is coded/decoded, indicating that at least one coefficient is non-zero inside a coefficient group and/or specify at least one size of the coefficient group.

摘要: Video coding schemes may include one or more filters to reduce coding artifacts and improve video quality. These filters may be applied to decode video data in a predetermined sequence. The output from one or more of these filters may be selected for different images, blocks, or sets of video data and then copied and/or routed to a display or a buffer storing reference data that is used to decode other video data in a data stream. Providing the ability to select which filter output is used for display and as a reference may result in better video quality for multiple types of video data. The filters that are selected for display and for reference may be different and may vary for different images, blocks, and data sets.

摘要: A two-pass encoding operation is implemented to encode one or more gaming frames into a game stream. The two-pass encoding operation includes a first encoding pass performed on a current frame. As a result of the first encoding pass, an estimated complexity for the current frame is determined. The resulting estimated complexity is then modulated according to a quality difference between reference frames used during the first pass encoding and a subsequent second pass encoding. Based on the modulated complexity, a quantization parameter is determined for the current frame that is then used to perform a second pass encoding on the current frame, resulting in an encoded frame. This encoded frame is then transmitted as part of a stream to a client system.

摘要: New intra planar modes are introduced for predicting digital video data. As part of the new intra planar modes, various methods are offered for predicting a first sample within a prediction unit, where the first sample is needed for referencing to when processing the new intra planar modes. And once the first sample is successfully predicted, the new intra planar modes are able to predict a sample of video data within the prediction unit by processing a bi-linear interpolation of four previously reconstructed reference samples.

摘要: An image processing apparatus decodes encoded RAW data that includes subband data being encoded with lossy encoding scheme, and determines one of a plurality of classifications based on the decoded subband data, wherein the plurality of classifications are based on a feature of an image. The apparatus also obtains correction data corresponding to the determined classification, and corrects recomposed data, which is obtained by applying frequency recomposition to the decoded subband data, based on the correction data, in order to obtain the corrected data as decoded RAW data.
