    摘要: It is to provide a liquid crystal aligning agent capable of forming a liquid crystal alignment film having favorable electrical characteristics, and excellent in the storage stability and the productivity. A liquid crystal aligning agent comprising at least one member selected from a polyamic acid obtained by polymerization of a diamine component with a tetracarboxylic dianhydride component, and a polyimide obtained by cyclodehydration of the polyamic acid, characterized in that the diamine component contains at least one of diamines represented by the following formula [1]: H2N-A-R—NH2  [1] wherein A is a bivalent organic group comprising a benzene ring or an aromatic condensed ring, provided that one or more optional hydrogen atoms in the benzene ring or the aromatic condensed ring may be substituted by a monovalent organic group other than an amino group, and R is a C1-10 bivalent saturated hydrocarbon group.
