摘要: A print control apparatus which performs printing process with a printer using coloring agents of the plurality of color components includes: an identification image controller that controls to add the identification image data to the print image data without color space conversion being performed when the printer prints the document in which the identification image is composed. The identification image includes an embedding image and an embedded image. The embedding image and the embedded image are formed to be superposed on each other, and the embedded image is processed in advance so that visual identification of the embedding image is difficult under visible light when the embedding image and the embedded image are printed.

摘要: The present invention provides a durable and self-verifying secure document system and a method for its production, wherein counterfeiting is prevented. The secure document system is potentially useful for a wide variety of documents including, but not limited to, lottery tickets, currency, traveler's checks, passports, stock and bond certificates, bank notes, driver's licenses, wills, coupons, rebates, contracts, food stamps, magnetic stripes, test answer forms, invoices, tickets, inventory forms, tags, labels and original artwork. The instant invention provides a plastic paper substitute having various indicia associated therewith including visible and hidden indicia. Application of the hidden indicia to the plastic paper substitute is implemented in accordance with a computer software program, and the document includes an integral lens area which is particularly designed to verify the document's authenticity by rendering the hidden indicia visible to the viewer. The instant invention is particularly durable when produced on one of the modern plastic paper substitutes.

摘要: The present invention discloses methods and systems for printing by superposing a metallic ink and transparent inks. These methods and systems are useful for color separating images into superpositions of a metallic ink and transparent inks both for design purposes and for the creation and authentication of security documents, such as banknotes, checks, diploma, corporate documents, passports, identity cards, credit cards, product labels, optical disks, CDs, DVDs, packages of medical drugs, cosmetics, and alcoholic drink bottles. By combining a metallic ink and transparent inks, one may create printed images behaving dynamically: an image viewed under specular reflection may be considerably different from the same image viewed under non-specular reflection. Patterns which are either dark or hidden become highlighted under specular reflection, yielding interesting visual effects. Metallic inks allow therefore to create visually appealing dynamically changing color images. In addition, the inversion effect provided by metallic inks allows to enhance microstructures present in the image or to reveal hidden patterns. Since these effects are lost in photocopied documents, the disclosed methods, systems and security documents offer a high security against counterfeiting attempts.

摘要: An image including an array of image elements is written in a security laminate. The laminate includes a binder layer including an array of micro spheres surmounting a reflective layer. Image elements are written by delivering a beam of electromagnetic radiation at a predetermined incidence angle on the laminate. Portions of the beam are concentrated by one or more of the micro spheres onto the reflective layer. The reflective layer is damaged in areas on which the laser radiation is concentrated. Each damaged area provides one element of the image. The reflective layer is formed into a plurality of concave reflectors, one for each micro sphere. The arrangement of the micro spheres, the concave reflectors and the damaged areas provides that the image is only clearly visible at about the angle of incidence at which the radiation beam is delivered. Two different images can be written into the reflective layer, with one image being visible at only one angle, and the other image being visible at only another angle.
