摘要： A flat woven tape has an end portion including opposite flat faces, opposite side edges and a terminal end. An enlarged lug of substantially rigid material is molded onto the end portion of the tape. The lug has first and second portions disposed on the opposite flat faces of the end portion of the tape. The lug includes a plurality of spaced-apart spanner elements extending through the end portion of the tape from one flat face to the other and interconnecting the first and second lug portions. The spanner elements provide an initial grip of the lug on the tape until the first and second portions of the lug wedge together and mechanically grip the end portion of the tape.

摘要： A metal plate, a fabric formed of reinforcing fibers, and thermosetting adhesives are layered on each other in a die in a die clamping direction. The thermosetting adhesives are forced to enter the fabric by clamping the die to produce a fiber reinforced plastic material with the thermosetting adhesives therein being in an uncured state. At the same time, the fiber reinforced plastic material is molded into a shape specified by the die. The thermosetting adhesives are allowed to cure in the die to cure the molded fiber reinforced plastic material, and the fiber reinforced plastic material and the metal plate are bonded each other.

摘要： A fastening strip for touch fasteners is provided which includes a corrugated portion as well as fastening elements. The corrugated portion allows the strip to be bent in a plane perpendicular as well as parallel with the longitudinal axis of the strip such that it may be applied to curved surfaces and remain substantially flat. Fastening elements such as hooks, loops, mushroom-shaped, bulbous and double hooks may be included on both sides of the strip and on the walls of the channels that form the corrugations as well as between the corrugations. The corrugated fastening strips may be useful for automotive seating and diaper applications. Processes for forming the corrugated fastening strip area also disclosed.

摘要： A control plate for effecting superior shut-off in a proportional control valve comprises a moveable disk-shaped element that has a flat surface, generally perpendicular to the valve axis of symmetry when closed, and translates toward or away from an orifice surrounded by a narrow lip or orifice ridge. Enhanced leak tightness in the valve shut-off condition is achieved by selectively incorporating into the control plate materials that are softer than the material comprising the orifice ridge.
