Abstract:
A vehicle is disclosed which includes a controller having at least one of a vehicle security module and a playback module. The vehicle security module may operate in a secure once mode of operation or in a secure all mode of operation. The playback module records ride information associated with the vehicle. The ride information may be provided to an external device.
Abstract:
A micro fluid filtration system (100) preferably for increasing the concentration of components contained in a fluid sample has a fluid circuitry (1). The fluid circuitry (1) comprises the following elements: A tangential flow filtration element (7) capable for separating the fluid sample into a retentate stream and a permeate stream upon passage of the fluid, an element for pumping (3) for creating and driving a fluid flow through the fluid circuitry (1) and at least one element for obtaining information about the properties of the fluid sample within the circuitry. The circuitry further comprises a plurality of conduits (24) connecting the elements of the fluid circuitry (1) through which a fluid stream of the fluid sample is conducted. The circuitry (1) has a minimal working volume of at most 5 ml, which is the minimal fluid volume retained in the elements and the conduits (24) of the circuitry (1) such that the fluid can be recirculated in the circuitry (1) without pumping air through the circuitry (1). An integrated microfluidic element (20) of the circuitry (1) contains the functionality of at least two elements of the group of elements of the circuitry (1).
Abstract:
A guiding means at a joint including groove and tenon preferably intended to be joined with glue. The tenon and/or groove includes guiding wedges.
Abstract:
Methods for assembling fiberglass reinforced plastic sucker rods include transporting fiberglass reinforced plastic sucker rod sections from an off-site location to an assembly facility at or near a point of use, and providing a sufficient number of metallic end fittings to connect respective ends of the plurality of sucker rod sections in series at the assembly facility. Systems for assembly of sucker rods from sucker rod sections transported from off-site location to or near a point of use are also described.
Abstract:
A method for bonding a first body (2) to a second, panel-shaped body (3) at bonding surfaces (2a, 3a) lying opposite each other, the second body (3) projecting in at least one direction (X) beyond an edge (2′) of the first body (2). The method includes: producing a plurality of spacers (4a to 4e, 4a′ to 4e′) on at least one of the bonding surfaces (2a), applying adhesive (5) into intermediate spaces (6a to 6d) between the spacers beyond an outer spacer (4e, 4e′) as far as an adhesive periphery (5a), which is formed at an edge (2′) of the first body (2), and bonding the bodies (2, 3) by bringing the bonding surfaces (2a, 3a) into contact at the spacers (4a′ to 4e′). A prescribed distance (d) between the adhesive periphery (5a) and the outermost spacer (4e) is set to provide a desired state of deformation of the panel-shaped body (3) after a shrinkage of the applied adhesive (5) (e.g. minimized bending of the body.) In an associated composite body (1), the prescribed distance (d) lies between 20 μm and 250 μm, preferably between 30 μm and 200 μm, in particular between 40 μm and 150 μm.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a fiberglass rod with connectors on each end. Each connector has a rod-receiving receptacle having an open end, a closed end, and axially spaced annular wedge shaped surfaces such that the compressive forces between the rod and the respective connector are defined by the shape of the wedged surfaces.
Abstract:
A connector to secure to the end of a cylindrical rod to transfer and distribute stress uniformly from the connector to the rod with a recess to cooperate with a retrieval tool to allow recovery of fractured rod strings or broken connectors. The connector includes an elongated body having a receptacle with a cylindrical wall, a top end and a recess where the recess is adjacent to the top end. A plurality of axially aligned tapered annuluses, coaxial with the receptacle, extends from the cylindrical wall into the body. Each annulus has a cross-section that is radially arcuate with one end tangentially approaching the cylindrical wall and the other end arcuately approaching the cylindrical wall.
Abstract:
A method of making a lifting grommet provides a connector body that is specially configured. The body has opposed end portions and a centrally positioned open area or gap. Each end portion of the body has a bore. A length of wire is provided having a pair of rope end portions. As part of the method, a bore and a centrally positioned opening or gap is engaged with a wire rope end portion. Once an end portion extends to the bore or gap, it is frayed, spread apart or unraveled. As part of the method, each portion of the wire rope is enveloped with a mass of adhesive filler material such as epoxy.

Methods for assembling fiberglass reinforced plastic sucker rods include transporting fiberglass reinforced plastic sucker rod sections from an off-site location to an assembly facility at or near a point of use, and transporting a sufficient number of metallic end fittings to connect respective ends of the plurality of sucker rod sections in series at the assembly facility. Systems for assembly of completed sucker rods from sucker rod sections transported from off-site location to or near a point of use. The systems may include a female threaded end component, collar and machine mount that allows completed sucker rods to be pull tested, and record load, peak load, and elongation during the pull test.
