摘要:
The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for treating skin disorders, including enhancing the healing of wounds for diabetic patients. Specifically, this invention relates to the use of the extracts of Plectranthus amboinicus and Centella asiatica for improving skin disorders, including enhancing the healing of wounds for diabetic patients, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the extracts of Plectranthus amboinicus and Centella asiatica as well as a wound dressing comprising the same. The invention also provides a method for preparing the crude extract and extract of Plectranthus amboinicus.

The use of pharmaceutical compositions in preparing pharmaceuticals for treating diabetic ulcer in limb or on body surface, or in preparing medical dressing. The pharmaceutical compositions consist of (A) 3 to 15% by weight of edible beeswax and (B) 85 to 97% by weight of sesame oil extract of Scutellaria root, Coptis root, Phellodendron bark, earthworm and poppy capsule, based on the total weight of the pharmaceutical compositions. In the sesame oil extract, each of Scutellaria root, Coptis root, Phellodendron bark, earthworm and poppy capsule is in an amount of 2 to 10% by weight of dry raw material based on the total weight of sesame oil. A medical dressing for treating diabetic ulcer and corresponding medicine box enclosing the said dressing are also provided.

The present invention relates to the processes of preparing silkfibroin/polyethylene oxide blended materials, and the resulting materials thereof, which are suitable for biomedical applications such as wound healing. In particular, the electrospun silk fibroin/PEO mats with a silk:PEO blend ratio of 2:1 to 4:1, treated with controlled evaporation, constraint-drying techniques, and/or alcohol treatment, and/or PEO extraction, demonstrate suitable physical and biofunctional properties, such as fiber structure, topography, absorption, water vapor transmission rates, oxygen permeation, and biodegradability, relevant to biomaterial systems with utility for wound dressings.

An absorbent composite material may be manufactured by applying a flexible absorbent binder polymer (FAB), also referred to herein as a flexible superabsorbent, during the creping step of conventional tissue manufacturing. As such, the costly process of applying FAB to a substrate by spraying or printing followed by drying may be eliminated. The creping step has the additional advantage of improving the flexibility and softness of the FAB treated fibrous web.

The present invention provides hemostatic compositions comprising components of the flowers of pharmaceutical chamomile (Chamomilla recutita) and the leaves of dioecious nettle (Urtica dioica). Further inclusion of a biocompatible polymeric base, particularly an alignate, generates a composition with excellent and broad spectrum hemostatic capabilities, with concurrent antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. The invention further provides methods of using the inventive compositions in to reduce or stop bleeding, as well as a variety of apparatuses useful in hemostatic contexts that incorporate the inventive compositions. In one particular embodiment, the invention provides hemostatic dressings in which a polymeric layer incorporating chamomile and nettle components is applied to a textile or fabric material, for example a non-woven viscose.

A semi-synthetic platelet gel comprising a platelet-rich plasma, at least one platelet activator, and a biocompatible polymer selected from the group comprising carbomers, polyalkylene glycols, poloxamers, polyesters, polyethers, polyanhydrides, polyacrylates, polyvinyl acetates, polyvinyl pyrrolidones, polysaccharides, and derivatives thereof. A method for preparing a semi-synthetic platelet gel comprising the steps of (a) mixing a platelet-rich plasma with at least one platelet activator, and, before the start of clot formation, (b) adding the mixture thus obtained to a biocompatible polymer selected from the group comprising carbomers, polyalkylene glycols, poloxamers, polyesters, polyethers, polyanhydrides, polyacrylates, polyvinyl acetates, polyvinyl pyrrolidones, polysaccharides, and derivatives thereof.

A biodegradable wound care product with biocompatible artificial skin treatment is described. It includes a biodegradable bandage support member and a biodegradable adhesive on at least a portion thereof. The support member is made of a biodegradable material, such as natural or artificial textiles, plastics or papers. The biodegradable actives carrier is attached to a portion of the biodegradable bandage support member and is a synthetic or natural biodegradable adhesive or a combination thereof. The active ingredient located on the biodegradable actives carrier includes a layer of biocompatible algae artificial skin including sterilized water and at least sixty percent by weight of reconstituted seaweed. Laminaria seaweed may be used for its desirable polyfucose sulfate content. The active ingredient is prepared by first drying the raw materials, converting the raw materials to a powder and then reconstituting the powder with sterilizes water and other possible actives and/or inerts.
