摘要: A method for sorting motile cells includes introducing an initial population of motile cells into an inlet port of a microfluidic channel, the initial population of motile cells having a first average motility; incubating the population of motile cells in the microfluidic channel; and collecting a sorted population of motile cells at an outlet port of the microfluidic channel. The sorted population of motile cells has a second average motility higher than the first average motility.

摘要: A continuous method and a production device for producing hydrolysis-resistant stable ionic titanium (Ti4+) are provided. The method comprises six steps: (i) carrying out a redox reaction between metal titanium and excess strong acid; (ii) carrying out primary chelation; (iii) diluting; (iv) adjusting pH value for the first time; (v) carrying out secondary chelation; and (vi) adding microelement and adjusting pH value for a second time. The device includes a reaction kettle, multiple metering pumps, a chelation kettle, dilution tank, multiple precise mixing reaction kettles, a first chelator storage tank, a pure water storage tank, an alkali liquor storage tank, a second chelator storage tank, multiple microelements storage tanks, a control center, etc. The method uses a multi-point, spiral, reverse and atomization spraying technique synchronously to carry out digital fully automatic continuous production and reach the effect of elaborately mixing the material. Also, the method greatly shortens the inter-dissolving time of the materials, easily controls the pH of the solution, and improves the stability of the product.

摘要: Telephone (installed and mobile) and pager billing statements can be significantly enhanced if the call log information was summarized and presented by visual means, such as maps. A method and system is described herein to deliver telephone and pager call log details through one or more maps embedded within or provided with telephone and pager billing statements. Beyond the traditional tabular call log list, the invented system offers maps, which display the physical locations relevant to calls geo-referenced to a map (location of placement and reception). Calls are represented in the map either individually and/or are summarized by the number of calls, the timing of the calls, the charges applied to the calls, the call categories (incoming, outgoing, daytime, nighttime, peak time, off peak time etc.), local-area and none-local-area calls, sensitive calls, geographic unit, or any combination thereof. A rule system was imposed on an integrated combination of database and geographic information system technology to establish the method and system.

摘要: An apparatus and method of managing received packets to be transmitted from a network device stores the received packets on one of two different buffers. In particular, the received packets are one of a first type of data packet and a second type of packet. Each one of the first type is stored in a first buffer having a first drop function, while each one of the second type is stored in a second buffer having a second drop function. Each respective drop function specifies a packet drop rate as a function of the average number of packets in its respective buffer. The first drop function has a first average drop rate over a specified time interval, while the second drop function has a second average drop rate over the specified time interval. The first average drop rate and the second average drop rate have a predefined relationship. Accordingly, if the two drop rates do not comply with the predefined relationship, then at least one of the two average drop rates are modified.
