Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may transmit an expiration indication to a receiving device as part of a scheduling message for a transport block. The expiration indication may provide information related to an expiration time for the transport block. If the expiration time is reached prior to successful reception by a receiving device, the receiving device may assume that the transport block has expired and may refrain from transmitting a retransmission grant, or may empty a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARM) buffer associated with the transport block. If the transmitting device fails to successfully receive an indication from the receiving device of a successful reception of the transport block prior to the expiration period, the transmitting device may also assume that the transport block has expired.

Abstract: Techniques described provide dependent procedure operation configured for avoiding or mitigating one or more aspect of the impact on the dependent procedure of cancelling an uplink transmission. Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may transmit a plurality of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communications in a same PDCCH monitoring occasion in a first cell, and may transmit a plurality of physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) communications in at least one of the first cell or a second cell. Each of the PDCCH communications schedules a respective PDSCH communication of the plurality of PDSCH communications. A PDCCH communication, of the plurality of PDCCH communications, includes an indication of a counter downlink assignment index that is based at least in part on a combination of a starting symbol and a cell in which an associated PDSCH communication is to be transmitted, a cell index of the cell in which the associated PDSCH communication is to be transmitted, and the PDCCH monitoring occasion. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for cancelling transmissions during handover operations. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) can cancel at least a portion of a first uplink transmission where the first uplink transmission overlaps with a second uplink transmission scheduled by a target cell in a dual active protocol stack (DAPS)-based handover (HO). In another aspect, a network can receive, from the UE, a capability indicating whether cancelling uplink transmission from a source cell in DAPS-based HO is supported, and the network can schedule an uplink transmission for the UE during the DAPS-based HO to the target cell based on the capability.

The UE may receive, from the network, a configuration of one or more channel sounding messages for one or more directional beams, where each directional beam of the one or more directional beams is associated with a set of narrowband carriers, and each of the one or more channel sounding messages being configured for transmission on a narrowband carrier of the set of narrowband carriers. The UE may determine a trigger for transmitting the one or more channel sounding messaged based at least in part on the configuration and transmit, to the network, the one or more channel sounding messages on respective narrowband carriers in accordance with the trigger and the configuration.

For messages, such as ACK/NACK feedback in a communication system, messages having an occurrence above or below a certain number of events (e.g., ACK/NACK events) or a probability of the occurrence may be compressed into a single message. By compressing the messages into a single message, the overhead used to transmit such messages may be reduced.
