Abstract: Aspects relate to communication via multiple network slice services. A user equipment may support multiple network slice services (e.g., defined sets of network services and/or resources). At some point in time, the user equipment may communicate using a first network slice service provided by a first radio network entity (e.g., a first distributed unit, a first cell, a first base station, etc.). In addition, at some point in time, the user equipment may elect to use a second network slice service. In the event the first radio network entity is not available for the second network slice service, the user equipment may switch to a second radio network entity (e.g., a second distributed unit, a second cell, a second base station, etc.) to communicate using the second network slice service.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive first information indicative of a first internet protocol address. The UE may transmit a non-access stratum (NAS) request to a core network service to establish a protocol data unit session using the first internet protocol address and a user plane protocol stack. The UE may receive, from the core network service using the first internet protocol address and the user plane protocol stack, a NAS response including second information indicative of a second internet protocol address. The UE may transmit NAS information to the core network service using the first internet protocol address and the user plane protocol stack, and first data information associated with the protocol data unit session using the second internet protocol address and the user plane protocol stack.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may select a user plane for a service. The UE may transmit a request for a service over the user plane. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support multicast communications, which may relate to a multicast service (for example, a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS)). A communications device such as a UE may transition from an inactive or idle state to a connected state to receive multicast services and provide feedback to the network. A wireless network may implement different techniques to trigger the UE to transition from the idle or inactive state into the RRC connected state to receive multicast services. For example, the UE may receive a trigger message that indicates that the one or more multicast services are available for use by the UE, and the UE may determine whether to transition to an RRC connected state to receive the multicast services based on the trigger message.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting, to a core network, a request for a preferred assignment of a paging occasion subgroup. The method also includes receiving, from the core network, a response indicating whether the request is granted. The method further includes monitoring a first paging occasion within a first paging frame associated with the paging occasion subgroup based on the response indicating the request is granted.
