Abstract: Aspects include systems, methods, devices, and non-transitory processor readable storage mediums for managing a broadcast signal of an apparatus for wireless communication. Various aspects may enable an apparatus to send a message using either omnidirectional transmissions or beamformed transmission based on whether the altitude of the apparatus meets an altitude threshold. In some implementations and aspects, the processor of the apparatus may determine a type of the message and may select the altitude threshold based on the determined message type. In some implementations and aspects, the processor of the apparatus may send the message using beamformed transmissions in response to determining that the message is intended for reception by a certain type of second apparatus.

A user equipment (UE) may be aboard an aerial vehicle such that the UE is above ground, and in some cases, moving above ground (e.g., flying). The UE may determine to perform an emergency communication procedure (e.g., an emergency call) while the UE meets one or more flying state conditions, where the one or more flying state conditions may be indicative that the UE is in a flying state. The UE may transmit a message to a base station as part of the emergency communication procedure, where the message may be indicative that the UE meets the one or more flying state conditions. The UE may participate in the emergency communication procedure while the UE is in the flying state.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, a first indication to disable hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for a number of instances of a multicast transport block (TB). The method also includes receiving, from the base station, a second indication identifying a value of the number of instances of the multicast TB. The method further includes receiving, from the base station, one or more instances of the multicast TB. The method still further includes determining, based on the one or more received instances, whether the multicast TB is recoverable. The method further includes selectively transmitting, to the base station, HARQ feedback after all instances of the multicast TB have been transmitted by the base station based on the determination of whether the multicast TB is recoverable.

Abstract: A network node may transmit a first signal to a first radio at a user equipment (UE). The UE may receive the first signal from the network node. The first signal may include a first configuration for a second radio at the UE. The UE may operate the second radio in a first mode based on the first configuration received via the first radio. The first radio may have a lower power consumption than the second radio or the second radio may have the lower power consumption than the first radio. For example, one radio may be a low-power wake-up radio (LP-WUR) having a lower power consumption than a main radio (MR) at the UE. The network node and the UE may communicate with one another via the second radio at the UE based on the first configuration transmitted to the first radio.
