    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may communicate an allocation of a set of time-frequency resources of a carrier for transmission of a first codeword. The first wireless device may map a first portion of the first codeword to resource elements of a first subband of the set of time-frequency resources in a frequency-first, time-second manner and a second portion of the first codeword to resource elements of a second subband of the set of time-frequency resources in the frequency-first, time-second manner. The first portion of the first codeword may include a contiguous portion of the first codeword preceding the second portion of the first codeword. The first wireless device may transmit, within the set of time-frequency resources, the first codeword based on the mapping.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support overlapping physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidate thresholds. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may determine, for each subcarrier spacing (SCS) configuration of a set of SCS configurations, a threshold number of overlapping PDCCH candidates within a time interval. The UE may receive, from a base station, signaling indicating one or more PDCCH monitoring configurations. In some examples, the UE may monitor the PDCCH for control information according to the one or more PDCCH monitoring configurations and a number of overlapping PDCCH candidates, where the number of overlapping PDCCH candidates may satisfy (e.g., be less than or equal to) the threshold number of overlapping PDCCH candidates.

    Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a base station to perform demodulation reference signal (DMRS)-based channel sounding for a channel between the base station and a UE, such that the base station may configure a more suitable precoding for coherent UL multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmission(s) of the UE without increasing communication overhead significantly or at all. In one aspect, a base station performs channel sounding for a channel based on a set of physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) DMRS received from a UE via the channel. The base station selects a precoding to be used by the UE for a subsequent PUSCH transmission via the channel based on the channel sounding. The base station transmits, for the UE via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), a transmit precoder matrix indicator (TPMI) indicating the selected precoding, where the PDCCH schedules the subsequent PUSCH transmission for the UE.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication and more particularly to hybrid measurements and reporting for Layer 1 (L1)/Layer 2 (L2) triggered mobility (LTM). Some aspects more specifically relate to a UE performing filtered measurements of one or more LTM candidate cells. In some aspects, the hybrid measurements and reporting may be associated with measurements using Layer 3 type measurements and reporting using L1 type reports for LTM. In some aspects, one or more cells, from the one or more LTM candidate cells, may be selected (for example, by the UE or by a network node) for L1 measurement or reporting associated with the filtered measurement values. In some aspects, the UE may transmit an L1 measurement report indicating L1 measurement values of the one or more cells.
