    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support visual sensing for positioning. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving a first image of an object from an image capture device. The method also includes receiving location information that includes a coordinate point, a position of the UE determined based on the coordinate point, or a combination thereof. The coordinate point is generated based on a relative orientation between the UE and a network entity, and a matched pair of points including a first point of the first image and a second point of a second image of the object captured by the network entity. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a vulnerable road user (VRU) user equipment (UE) indicates to a user whether a current position accuracy is sufficient or insufficient for approaching vehicles to determine if they present a hazard to the VRU. The position accuracy may be based on an accuracy threshold that is configured at the UE, such as by a serving base station or a road side unit (RSU). The accuracy threshold may be configured via common or dedicated signaling, through application-layer signaling, or may be pre-configured in the UE. When the VRU UE position accuracy exceeds the specified threshold for a particular interval of time, the UE may inform the user that approaching vehicles will be unable to determine their location with enough accuracy to take evasive maneuvers.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to mechanisms for a wireless communication device to generate a superposition transmission of a sidelink signal to be transmitted to at least one receiving wireless communication device and an uplink signal to be transmitted to a base station. The wireless communication device may transmit the superposition transmission on resources allocated by the base station on a common carrier utilized for both sidelink and uplink transmissions. The superposition transmission includes a base layer corresponding to the uplink signal and an enhanced layer corresponding to the sidelink signal. The wireless communication device may further generate and transmit interference assistance information to the receiving wireless communication device for use by the receiving wireless communication device in canceling the base layer from the superposition transmission.
