Abstract: For example, an apparatus may include a segment parser to parse scrambled data bits of a PPDU into a first plurality of data bits and a second plurality of data bits, the PPDU to be transmitted in an OFDM transmission over an aggregated bandwidth comprising a first channel in a first frequency band and a second channel in a second frequency band; a first baseband processing block to encode and modulate the first plurality of data bits according to a first OFDM MCS for transmission over the first channel in the first frequency band; and a second baseband block to encode and modulate the second plurality of data bits according to a second OFDM MCS for transmission over the second channel in the second frequency band.

Abstract: Embodiments of an access point (AP) may comprise memory and processing circuitry coupled to the memory, and transceiver circuitry coupled to the processing circuitry. The processing circuitry of the AP may be configured to generate a trigger frame to allocate a center 26 tone RU for an HE-trigger-based PPDU, the center 26 tone RU having an adjacent upper 20 MHz subchannel and an adjacent lower 20 MHz subchannel. In an embodiment, the center 26 tone RU is for a station (STA) and wherein the trigger frame indicates to the STA to transmit a pre-HE-STF preamble on one of the adjacent upper 20 MHz subchannel, the adjacent lower 20 MHz subchannel, or both the adjacent upper and lower 20 MHz subchannels, and configure the wireless device to transmit the trigger frame to the station.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, computer readable media for multi-user (MU) request-to-send (RTS) and clear-to-send (CTS) with null data packet (NDP) CTSs and response polling. An apparatus of a wireless device comprising processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry may be configured to encode a MU-RTS including station identifications and indications of 20 MHz channels for the stations to transmit CTSs. The processing circuitry may be configured to configure the access point to transmit the MU-RTS. The processing circuitry may be configured to encode a trigger frame for polling, the trigger frame including the station identifications and indications of short feedback resource units for the stations identified by the station identifications. The processing circuitry may be configured to decode short feedback from the stations in accordance with the short feedback resource units where the short feedback is in response to the trigger frame for polling and the MU-RTS.

Abstract: Techniques are described for compressing the PUCCH resources reserved for acknowledging downlink data transmissions when those resources are implicitly signaled by EPDCCHs that schedule the downlink transmissions in TDD mode. An acknowledgement resource offset field transmitted in the EPDCCH is configured to correspond to one or more values that compress the region in PUCCH resource index space that would otherwise be reserved for the subframes of a bundling window.

Abstract: Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method for subcarrier scaling are generally described herein. The AP may transmit a high efficiency (HE) physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) that includes a legacy long training field (L-LTF), a legacy signal (L-SIG) field, and an HE signal (HE-SIG) field. The HE-SIG may be based on HE-SIG symbols mapped to a group of HE subcarriers that includes legacy subcarriers and HE extension subcarriers. The L-LTF may be based on L-LTF pilot symbols mapped to the legacy subcarriers. The L-SIG may be based on L-SIG legacy symbols mapped to the legacy subcarriers and L-SIG extension pilot symbols mapped to the HE extension subcarriers. The AP may scale a per-subcarrier power of the L-SIG extension pilot symbols to match a per-subcarrier power of the L-LTF pilot symbols.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and computer readable media for signaling high efficiency short training field are disclosed. A high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) station is disclosed. The HEW station may comprise circuitry configured to: receive a trigger frame comprising an allocation of a resource block for the HEW station, and transmit a high efficiency short training field (HE-STF) with a same bandwidth as a subsequent data portion, wherein the transmit is to be in accordance with orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) and wherein the transmit is within the resource block. A subcarrier allocation for the HE-STF may match a subcarrier allocation for the subsequent data portion. The HE-STF and the subsequent data portion may be transmitted with a same power. A total power of active subcarriers of the HE-STF may be equal to or proportional to a second total of data subcarriers and pilot subcarriers of the subsequent data portion.

Abstract: Embodiments allow selection of a Discovery signal (DS) used to identify an eNB to a UE receiving the DS. The DS allows the UE to ascertain the existence and/or cell identifier of the eNB. DS comprise a plurality of other signals such as a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS), a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS), a Cell Specific Reference Signal (CRS) and/or a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS). A DS occasion comprises a number of subframes where the selected signals that comprise the DS are transmitted. The signals selected for the DS, their characteristics and properties allow a UE to decode the cell identifier. The DS occasion occurs with a designated periodicity.

Abstract: According UE is configured to receive a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) from an evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) Node B (eNB), determine channel state information based on the CSI-RS, and send the channel state information to the eNB. The channel state information includes a precoding matrix indicator corresponding to a first precoding matrix. The UE is also configured to receive a UE specific reference (UE-RS) signal and a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) signal. The UE-RS is precoded with a second precoding matrix. The UE estimates a UE-RS effective channel including the second precoding matrix based on the UE-RS and decodes data from the PDSCH signal based on an the first precoding matrix and the UE-RS effective channel.
