摘要: Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are described for notching a 6 GHz channel. A station associates with an access point on a 6 GHz band. A notching pattern indication is decoded from data received from the AP after associating with the AP. A notching region within a channel within the 6 GHz band is determined based on the notching pattern indication. The notching pattern indicates a width of a notching region and a location of the notching region within the channel. The notching region covers bandwidth occupied by an incumbent system within the channel. A physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) is encoded for transmission on the channel to the AP. The PPDU is encoded to exclude transmission within the notching region.

摘要: An apparatus for implementing power control for a radio device that has multiple radio transceivers operating in different bands, including sub-bands of a single frequency band. The device implements a power control protocol for communications between the device and a similar peer device. The device sets-up the power control protocol by generating a request to use one of the multiple bands to signal power control operations, and to use another one of the multiple bands to transfer data between the device and the peer device. The device sends the request to the peer device and receives a response. Based on the response, the device identifies a control channel band and a data channel band from among the multiple bands.

摘要: Apparatuses, computer readable media, and methods for received signal strength indicator (RSSI) thresholds for transitions are disclosed. An apparatus comprising processing circuitry is disclosed, where the processing circuitry is configured to associate with a first access point (AP), the first AP being part of an extended service set (ESS), decode a frame from the first AP, the frame including an ESS report element, the ESS report element including a recommended basic service set (BSS) transition threshold within the ESS field, and decode a beacon frame from the first AP. The processing circuitry may be further configured to respond to a measured RSSI of the beacon frame being below a value indicated by the recommended BSS transition threshold within the ESS field, by initiating a transition to a second AP.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for high efficiency (HE) beacon and HE formats in a wireless network are disclosed. An apparatus of a high efficiency (HE) access point (AP), where the apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured select a tuple from the basic HE-MCS set of tuples, if a basic HE modulation and control scheme (MCS)(HE-MCS) and a number of spatial streams (NSS) set of tuples is not empty, and otherwise select the tuple from a mandatory HE-MCS and NSS set of tuples. The processing circuitry may be further configured to encode a beacon frame in a HE single user (SU) physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU), in accordance with the selected tuple, and configure the HE AP to transmit the HE SU PPDU. Null data packets formats, methods, computer readable media, and apparatuses are disclosed for multiple 20 MHz operations.

摘要: Methods and devices are described for providing wireless stations (STAs) with two sets of enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) parameters. Legacy EDCA parameters that are for single user (SU) operations and may be used by both high-efficiency (HE) STAs and legacy STAs without multi-user (MU) capability. MU EDCA parameters are defined to be more restrictive than legacy EDCA parameters in favoring MU operations. Embodiments are described that define sets of rules for regulating how STAs capable of both SU and MU uplink operations can use the different sets of EDCA parameters.
