Abstract: For example, an apparatus may include a segment parser to parse scrambled data bits of a PPDU into a first plurality of data bits and a second plurality of data bits, the PPDU to be transmitted in an OFDM transmission over an aggregated bandwidth comprising a first channel in a first frequency band and a second channel in a second frequency band; a first baseband processing block to encode and modulate the first plurality of data bits according to a first OFDM MCS for transmission over the first channel in the first frequency band; and a second baseband block to encode and modulate the second plurality of data bits according to a second OFDM MCS for transmission over the second channel in the second frequency band.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to wake-up radio (WUR) advertisement channels. A device may include a wake-up receiver (WURx) and a primary connectivity radio. The device may determine a wake-up radio (WUR) discovery subchannel for WUR advertisement. The WUR discovery subchannel may be associated with a channel of a frequency band. The device may generate a WUR discovery frame comprising a WUR advertisement. The device may transmit, by the WURx, the WUR discovery frame to a second device using the WUR discovery subchannel. The device may identify a response from the second device indicating an acknowledgment of the WUR discovery frame.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media are shown for multi-user scheduling in wireless local-area networks (WLANs). A wireless communication device is shown including circuitry to determine a plurality of schedules for each of a plurality of channels for an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) communication in a wireless local-area network (WLAN). Each of the plurality of schedules may include a frequency allocation for one or more communication devices. The circuitry may be further configured to transmit the corresponding schedule of the one or more schedules on each of the one or more channels. Each of the plurality of schedules may include a schedule type and a user association identification (AID) list. A number of user AIDs in the user AID list may be based on the schedule type.

Abstract: Methods, devices and a computer-readable medium are disclosed for subcarrier allocation to multiple users in wireless local-area networks in accordance with orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA). A high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) master device is disclosed. The HEW master device includes circuitry configured to transmit data to a plurality of HEW devices, in accordance with OFDMA, on a plurality of noncontiguous sub-channels. Each noncontiguous sub-channel may be a plurality of subcarriers across a bandwidth. A HEW device is disclosed. The HEW device may include circuitry configured to transmit data to a HEW master device, in accordance with OFDMA and a resource map, on a noncontiguous sub-channel over a bandwidth. The circuitry may be further configured to transmit the noncontiguous subcarriers at a greater power level than a regulatory power level for the plurality of interlaced subcarriers if the plurality of interlaced subcarriers were contiguous.

Abstract: Embodiments of a high-efficiency WLAN (HEW) master station and method for communicating in accordance with a scheduled OFDMA technique on secondary channels are generally described herein. An access point is configured to operate as part of a basic-service set (BSS) that includes a plurality of high-efficiency WLAN (HEW) stations and a plurality of legacy stations. The BSS operates on a primary channel and one or more secondary channels. In accordance with some embodiments, the access point may communicate with one or more of the HEW stations on one or more of the secondary channels in accordance with a scheduled OFDMA communication technique when the primary channel is utilized for communication with one or more of the legacy devices.

Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to resource pre-allocation and opportunistic full-duplex downlink transmissions for wireless communication. A device may determine a wireless communication sub-channel for uplink transmissions. The device may cause to send a full-duplex trigger frame including resource pre-allocation instructions for the sub-channel. The device may receive an uplink frame on the sub-channel. The device may receive first downlink data. The device may determine if an estimated downlink transmission time is less than an estimated residual uplink transmission time. The device may cause to send the first downlink data upon determining that the estimated downlink transmission time is not less than the estimated residual uplink transmission time. The device may cause to send the first downlink data and second downlink data upon determining that the estimated downlink transmission time is less than the estimated residual uplink transmission time.

Abstract: Embodiments of a high-efficiency Wi-Fi (HEW) station, access point (AP), and method for communication in a wireless network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the HEW station may perform random access contention with other HEW stations for uplink resources for data transmission to the HEW AP. The HEW station may determine transmission activity during a first portion of a channel sensing period, and may select a sub-channel on which transmission activity is not determined. The HEW station may transmit an announcement signal on the selected sub-channel during a second portion of the channel sensing period. The announcement signal transmission may indicate, to other contending HEW stations, an intention by the HEW station to transmit on the same selected sub-channel during a subsequent access period.

Abstract: Embodiments of a high-efficiency Wi-Fi (HEW) station, access point (AP), and method for communication in a wireless network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the HEW AP may transmit a resource allocation message to indicate an allocation of channel resources for uplink transmissions by one or more HEW stations. The channel resources may include multiple channels, each of which may include multiple sub-channels and an extra portion of channel resources. The resource allocation message may include multiple sub-channel allocation blocks to indicate an allocation for a particular HEW station. A length of the sub-channel allocation blocks may be based on various factors, such as a number of channels included in the channel resources and a sub-carrier bandwidth.
