Abstract:
Face detection is executed only on an image imaged based on an arbitrary (predetermined) focal point information defined in advance. In face detection, the face of a person is detected based on a relative value of statistics in a plurality of characteristic regions produced by contour or parts of the face of the person. Thus, even if the face in the image used for face detection is blurred, the statistics in a certain region can be acquired, and thus such face is detectable. Therefore, the primary subject to be focused can be rapidly detected without performing focal point control at a stage of preliminary imaging in the imaging apparatus.
Abstract:
A metal holder has a V-shape in cross-section formed by two arm sections. PET sheets are attached to mutually opposed surfaces of respective arm sections, and part of each PET sheet extends toward the electrically-conductive roller beyond the arm section. Flocked sheets are attached to the surfaces of the respective PET sheets opposite the electrically-conductive roller, and contact the electrically-conductive roller.
Abstract:
A substrate 1 for growing nitride semiconductor has a first and second face and has a thermal expansion coefficient that is larger than that of the nitride semiconductor. At least n-type nitride semiconductor layers 3 to 5, an active layer 6 and p-type nitride semiconductor layers 7 to 8 are laminated to form a stack of nitride semiconductor on the first face of the substrate 1. A first bonding layer including more than one metal layer is formed on the p-type nitride semiconductor layer 8. A supporting substrate having a first and second face has a thermal expansion coefficient that is larger than that of the nitride semiconductor and is equal or smaller than that of the substrate 1 for growing nitride semiconductor. A second bonding layer including more than one metal layer is formed on the first face of the supporting substrate. The first bonding layer 9 and the second bonding layer 11 are faced with each other and, then, pressed with heat to bond together. After that, the substrate 1 for growing nitride semiconductor is removed from the stack of nitride semiconductor so that a nitride semiconductor device is provided.

Abstract:
A method of producing an efficient nitride semiconductor element having an opposed terminal structure. The method includes a growing step for growing the nitride semiconductor further having an undoped GaN layer on a different materials substrate; subsequently, an attaching step for attaching the supporting substrate to the first conductive type nitride semiconductor layer side of the nitride semiconductor and interposing a first terminal between them; and subsequently, an exposing step for exposing the second conductive type nitride semiconductor layer by eliminating the different material substrate and the undoped GaN.
Abstract:
An image information changing part is added to correct image information of respective colors to be recorded according to information of errors among images to be combined so that color images may be combined exactly. An image recording method and an image recording apparatus having a high-speed, high-resolution and highly stable image combining method can be obtained.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an image receiving sheet for forming a toner image by removably adhering toner thereto. The sheet has an irregular surface including a plurality of concavities in the form of continuous grooves for receiving the toner and ridges extending along the concavities, and a toner image can be formed by removably adhering the toner to the concavities. The ridges of the irregular surface are capable of protecting the toner adhering to the concavities. The continuously grooved concavities have a depth (height of ridges) of 20 μm to 150 μm; and a condition of E·A≧2 [GPa·μm] can be established wherein E[GPa] means Young's modulus and A [μm] means a width of ridges, the Young's modulus being a value when a material for forming the concavities and ridges is elongated by 1%. The ridges may be reinforced by reinforcing portions for retaining postures of the ridges.
