摘要: Using a position detection device, a position of a user in a building area outside of an elevator system is detected. It is determined, after the user has entered an elevator car, that the user is not authorized to travel to a destination floor designated by a destination for the user. As a result of the determination, the elevator car is moved to an area other than the destination floor.

摘要: An elevator system is provided with a remote hall call registering device by use of which an elevator passenger performs a hall call registration in a position at a prescribed distance from a hall. A moving time comparison device compares the predicted moving time Te of the elevator car with the predicted walking time Tw in the case where the floor on which a remote hall call registering device is installed is set as a parking floor. A standby operation go/no go determination device makes a determination as to whether or not to perform a standby operation based on the result of the comparison of the moving time comparison device, and carries out a standby operation after responses to all calls have been finished only in the case where the standby operation go/no go determination device made a determination to the effect that a standby operation should be performed.

摘要: A device for reducing the energy consumption is used in an elevator installation which can be alternatively brought into an operating mode and a standby mode wherein in the standby mode the elevator installation is separated from a main energy source and connected with an auxiliary energy source, by means of which basic functions of the elevator installation are maintained so as to enable later entry into the operating mode. The device includes a detecting unit in order to detect a use criterion describing the current use status of the elevator installation. Moreover, a power-saving unit with a microprocessor is provided in order to bring the elevator installation from the operating mode to the standby mode in the case of non-fulfillment of the use criterion and fulfillment of standby criteria and to bring it from the standby mode to the operating mode in the case of non-fulfillment of the standby criteria.

摘要: An elevator control system for controlling the movement of an elevator car up and down an elevator shaft between floors of a structure includes a call input device provided on each floor to indicate a passenger is waiting to be picked-up; a measuring device to indicate a load on the elevator car; and a controller to answer calls from the call input devices and move the elevator between floors, wherein the controller overrides calls received from the call input devices and does not stop the car to pick up passengers when the load indicates there a full car with no room for additional passengers. The measuring device may include a force transducer to measure the load on the elevator car. The load may be a measure of the number of passengers in the car. The load may be compared to a threshold and when the load exceeds the threshold a signal is provided to the controller to override the call input devices. The controller answers calls from the call input devices and stops the elevator to pick up passengers when the load indicates the car is not full and has room for passengers. The measuring device also may include a force transducer connected to an amplifier circuit connected to an over voltage protection circuit, wherein an output of the over voltage protection circuit is provided to the controller to indicate a full car with no room for additional passengers.

摘要: The invention provides an elevator cab equipped with an emergency medical device, such as an automated external defibrillator (AED). The elevator cab equipped with the emergency medical device may be controlled in order to deliver the emergency medical device to a floor of a building on which an emergency medical situation occurred. In response to emergency medical input identifying the emergency medical situation, an elevator control unit overrides regular operation of the elevator cab in response to receiving emergency medical input, and directs the elevator cab to a floor on which an emergency medical situation occurs. For example, the elevator control unit may cancel active floor calls made by passengers within the elevator cab or individuals on one or more floors of the building and direct the elevator cab to the floor of the emergency situation.

摘要: A method for adapting to observed special use patterns a neural network used to estimate quantities needed by an elevator dispatching system responsible for assigning the elevator or another elevator to a hall call. Rather than simply refining values of existing connection weights to train the neural network to provide acceptable outputs for predetermined inputs, the method analyzes use information to determine whether additional inputs to the neural network might be advantageous and what those inputs might be. If so, the method alters the neural network architecture by providing new input nodes and corresponding connection weights, the connection weights having initially relatively small values. All connection weights can then be adjusted during actual operation of the elevator to accommodate the new input nodes.
