Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) user equipment (UE) may communicate, using a first SIM, on a plurality of component carriers. The multi-SIM UE may select a first subset of component carriers from the plurality of component carriers based at least in part on a component carrier prioritization. The multi-SIM UE may identify an amount of memory available to a second SIM. The multi-SIM UE may tune away, based at least in part on the amount of memory available to the second SIM, from a second subset of component carriers The first subset of component carriers may be different from the second subset of component carriers. Abstract: In some aspects, the present disclosure provides methods, apparatuses, and systems for efficient thermal mitigation while maintaining wireless device performance on a primary component carrier (PCC). Embodiments described may include implementation of target transceiver module configurations, where bandwidth (e.g., PCC bands and secondary component carrier (SCC) bands) may be monitored by a wireless device based on intra-module target configurations and/or inter-module target configurations. An intra-module target configuration may include a target transceiver module monitoring both PCC bands and SCC bands. An inter-module target configuration may include or refer to a plurality of target transceiver modules together monitoring PCC bands and SCC bands. In scenarios where operating temperatures exceed temperature thresholds, target transceiver module configurations may be implemented to transition PCC bands, SCC bands, or both, from a PCC-resident transceiver module to another transceiver module to reduce the operating temperatures of concern. Various additional and alternative aspects are described herein.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a UE may partially disable transmissions on a transmission port based on a temperature condition (e.g., chipset temperature or skin temperature exceeding threshold). In a further aspect, the UE may enable the partially disabled transmissions on the transmission port in response to cessation of the temperature condition. In a further aspect, the UE may transmit a capability indication to a base station that indicates that the UE is capable of supporting a transition from a multi-layer (rank-2) communication mode to a single-layer (rank-1) communication mode.

Abstract: A wireless communication device can expedite beam scans for beam management. The wireless communication device can perform a beam scan using a first beam reference signal of a synchronization signal block (SSB) and a second beam reference signal associated with a physical broadcast control channel (PBCH) of the SSB. For each synchronization signal block (SSB) index (e.g., transmit beam) monitored by the wireless communication device, the wireless communication device can obtain a respective beam quality metric on each of two or more respective receive beams using at least the first and second beam reference signals. Abstract: In embodiments, a base station may send to a user equipment (UE) a P3 beam management (BM) channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) having two ports, and may receive from the UE a P3 BM report in response. The P3 BM report may include a proactive UE beam switch indication and a CSF report corresponding to the best UE beam determined by a UE based on the P3 BM CSI-RS. The base station may determine whether the P3 BM report includes an indication that the UE will perform a beam switch from a first UE beam to a second UE beam, and may determine a UE beam switch slot during which the UE will perform the beam switch. Starting at the beam switch slot, the base station may send a physical downlink shared data channel (PDSCH) transmission to the UE using the adjusted downlink transmission parameters.
