Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to receiving, from a base station, a transmit beam including a synchronization signal block (SSB) of multiple broadcast signals transmitted over multiple symbols, wherein receiving the transmit beam includes switching among multiple receive beams for each of the multiple symbols to receive a corresponding broadcast signal of the multiple broadcast signals, measuring a signal metric of each of the multiple broadcast signals as received via a corresponding receive beam of the multiple receive beams in a corresponding symbol of the multiple symbols, and selecting, based on the signal metric measured for each of the multiple broadcast signals, a receive beam of the multiple receive beams for communicating with the base station.

The wireless device evaluates a plurality of antenna group combinations based on one or more criteria wherein each antenna group combination includes at least two antenna groups of multiple antennas and the one or more criteria involve a first performance value calculated separately for each antenna group in an antenna group combination under evaluation and a second performance value calculated collectively for the at least two antenna groups in the antenna group combination under evaluation. Abstract: In some aspects, the present disclosure provides methods, apparatuses, and systems for efficient thermal mitigation while maintaining wireless device performance on a primary component carrier (PCC). Embodiments described may include implementation of target transceiver module configurations, where bandwidth (e.g., PCC bands and secondary component carrier (SCC) bands) may be monitored by a wireless device based on intra-module target configurations and/or inter-module target configurations. An intra-module target configuration may include a target transceiver module monitoring both PCC bands and SCC bands. An inter-module target configuration may include or refer to a plurality of target transceiver modules together monitoring PCC bands and SCC bands. In scenarios where operating temperatures exceed temperature thresholds, target transceiver module configurations may be implemented to transition PCC bands, SCC bands, or both, from a PCC-resident transceiver module to another transceiver module to reduce the operating temperatures of concern. Various additional and alternative aspects are described herein.

Abstract: A UE may calculate an allocation of a transmission power for a first uplink transmission on a first uplink channel and at least one second uplink transmission on at least one second uplink channel, the transmission power being allocated in each symbol of a plurality of symbols in a slot. The UE may detect a transmission power change in the allocation of the transmission power in the slot for at least one of the first uplink transmission or the at least one second uplink transmission. The UE may determine whether to adjust the allocation of the transmission power for the at least one of the first uplink transmission or the at least one second uplink transmission to eliminate the transmission power change in the slot for the at least one of the first uplink transmission or the at least one second uplink transmission.

Abstract: Scheduling with split symbols for beam management is described. An apparatus is configured to receive, from a network node, DL signaling including a symbol in a first slot, and to measure a first measurement of a first beam during a first time portion, and a second measurement of a second beam during a second different time portion, of the symbol. The apparatus is configured to communicate, with the network node, using the first or second beam based on at least one of the first measurement or the second measurement. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may measure a signal strength for each beam of a set of multiple beams. The UE may select, from the set of multiple beams, a set of two or more beams each having a respective signal strength satisfying a threshold. The UE may attempt to decode a first broadcast channel signal of a first beam of the set of two or more beams in a single broadcast channel period. The UE may decode, after failing to decode the first broadcast channel signal of the first beam, a second broadcast channel signal of a second beam of the set of two or more beams in the single broadcast channel period.
