摘要: A computer in a vehicle can determine a first distance from a vehicle to a traffic object and receive, via a network interface, a second distance from a second vehicle to the traffic object and a third distance from the second vehicle to the vehicle. The computer can determine a fourth distance by triangulation based on the second distance and the third distance and pilot the vehicle based on combining the first distance and the fourth distance.

The thresholds may be adjusted responsive to useful life consumed of an engine starter that may participate in automatic engine starting and stopping.

During engine operation, in response to a change in driver demand, the controller may opt to switch fuels or maintain a current fuel while using stored power assist. The selection may be based on the combination of fuel and stored power offset that provides the highest engine efficiency at the lowest fuel cost.

摘要: A vehicle system includes a processor and a memory accessible to the processor and storing instructions executable by the processor. The instructions include detecting a handoff request indicating a transition of a host vehicle from an autonomous mode of operation to a non-autonomous mode of operation and assessing driver competency. The handoff request is approved if the driver competency exceeds a predetermined threshold. Likewise, the handoff request is denied if the driver competency fails to exceed the predetermined threshold.

摘要: A hydrocarbon sensor diagnosis system includes a computer programmed to collect data from a hydrocarbon sensor while an exhaust gas recirculation system is in an open state. The hydrocarbon sensor is mounted along an engine air intake between an exhaust port of the exhaust gas recirculation system and an intake port of a cylinder head. The computer is further programmed to determine whether a hydrocarbon sensor fault exists based at least on the collected data.
