Abstract: A treatment system includes a magnetic sensor configured to detect a biomagnetic field generated by a living body to be treated, a catheter configured to be inserted into the living body, an image information processor programmed to generate a combined image including a first image expressing a strength of the biomagnetic field and a second image expressing a position of the catheter, by using biomagnetic field information output from the magnetic sensor and position information of the catheter inserted into the living body, and a display configured to display the combined image.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for tracking fiber optic shaping. In some implementations, a server obtains optical signals reflected through a fiber, the fiber comprising one or more embedded sensors and a nano-magnetometer embedded at a distal location of the fiber. The server determines a frequency shift of each of the reflected optical signals, the frequency shift imparted on the reflected optical signals by the one or more embedded sensors. The server determines a phase shift of each of the reflected optical signals, the phase shift imparted on the reflected optical signals by the nano-magnetometer. The server determines characteristics of the fiber using the determined frequency and the phase shift of each of the reflected optical signals, the characteristics comprises a shape of the fiber and a location of the fiber in relation to an external reference.

Abstract: A biological signal analyzing apparatus includes an acquisition unit, a detection unit, and a search unit. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire waveform data of biological signals measured by a plurality of sensors. The detection unit is configured to detect a time at which characteristic waveform information about an interictal epileptiform discharge (IED) appears in the waveform data acquired by the acquisition unit. The search unit is configured to search for an onset time at which a signal is generated from a lesion in a brain within a predetermined search range based on the time detected by the detection unit in the waveform data.

Abstract: An apparatus for measuring magnetic fields from a subject's organ comprises a plurality of unshielded magnetometers in a three-dimensional arrangement. A respective pair of magnetometers, in the plurality of magnetometers, has a respective known separation. Each magnetometer in the plurality of magnetometers is configured to simultaneously detect a biomagnetic field from at least a portion of the subject's organ and a background magnetic field and output a signal indicative of the detected biomagnetic field and the background magnetic field.

Abstract: A magnetic field measuring apparatus includes an A/D conversion unit, an integration unit, and a post-processing unit. The integration unit is configured to obtain a biological magnetic field signal based on a value obtained by integrating the digital data, the biological magnetic field signal indicating a magnetic field emanating from the living organism. The post-processing unit is configured to perform decimation processing on the biological magnetic field signal output from the integration unit.

Abstract: The pulsed pump magnetometer (PPM) is a new type of magnetometer with much higher dynamic range, linearity, and sensitivity than all other types of magnetometers. These features allow more faithful subtracting and cancelling sources of magnetic noise, enabling high quality biomagnetic measurements. Using an array of PPM sensors enables high quality measurements of biomagnetic signals even in magnetically noisy, real-world conditions like medical offices. Arrays of PPM sensors improve upon pulsed magnetic gradiometers in providing higher sensitivity per sensor and superior noise rejection through noise decorrelation and covariance modeling. Arrays of PPM sensors enable localization and imaging of biomagnetic sources.

Abstract: A physiological information measurement system capable of achieving decrease in time for attachment of a plurality of sensors to a subject and preparation for measurement is provided. A head-mounted measurement system includes a housing attachable to and removable from a head of a subject, a plurality of sensors held by the housing, and a control unit (signal processing unit) that synchronizes signals outputted from the plurality of sensors with each other. The plurality of sensors include an NIRS probe (a first sensor) that measures brain activities and an ultra-wide-angle camera (a second sensor) that obtains an image of a face of the subject.
