摘要： A combination collar based retrievable drilling fluid filter and wiper with threaded ends for easy inclusion within the drill string, and a through bore for passage of drilling fluids and insertion of a wire line retrievable filter and wiper unit which is concentrically received and supported by the collar. The filter and wiper unit include a filter insert and an elongated wiper carrier. The filter insert is positioned at an upper end of the apparatus and is received by the elongated wiper carrier which is positioned at the lower end of the apparatus. The elongated wiper carrier includes numerous wiper brushes which help remove scale from the interior of the drill string when the filter and wiper unit is retrieved. Electrical wiring passes easily through the apparatus for operation of down hole instruments if desired.

摘要： A tool for the cleaning and conditioning of tubular structures, such as well casings, comprises a central mandrel (1) upon which are mounted a plurality of interchangeable sleeves (4-9). The sleeves at each end bear stabilization elements enabling the tool to be used in a well casing of any disposition and the intermediate sleeves bear conditioning or cleaning elements (12) angularly spaced apart and separated by fluid channels (13), the cleaning elements of adjacent sleeves being off-set to form a substantially helical pattern of cleaning elements and channels to ensure 360.degree. of coverage as a tool is axially displaced within a well casing. The sleeves are mounted in such a way that relative rotation between them and the mandrel is prevented by a combination of keyways and of drive faces between adjacent sleeves formed by cut-away portions.

摘要： A combination clean-out and fishing tool for use under rotary power in a well bore. The tool is adapted for connection to the drill string by means of an elongated connector sub. The connector sub then carries a cylindrical sleeve thereon which houses a cylindrical hub secured within the sleeve by means of shear pins. A cylindrical extension then secures below the cylindrical sleeve to support a clean-out tool of selected type therebelow while the hub and extension sub carrying a selected fishing tool are inside the cylindrical extension. After rotary operation of the clean-out tool to expose the fish, sufficient weight jarring the drill stem shears the shear pins to lower the connector sub, hub, extension sub and fishing tool into rotary engagement with the fish.

摘要： A system for evacuating sand, paraffin, and other particulate matter from an oil well, while simultaneously lifting the oil to the surface and stimulating its rate of production, comprises a series of transport units attached to an endless belt. The belt is positively driven between a wellhead station at the surface and a downhole module which is self centering within the well casing, thereby avoiding damage and wear to the casing. Preferably, the belt comprises a roller chain which enables the depth and rate of production of the evacuation system to be easily adjusted. The transport units are replaceably mounted on the belt and are specially designed to agitate and accumulate the particulate member in the oil well.

摘要： The present invention is directed to an apparatus for installing strain gages or other sensors-transducers in wellbores penetrating subterranean earth formations. The subject apparatus comprises an assembly which is lowered into the wellbore, secured in place, and then actuated to sequentially clean the wellbore or casing surface at a selected location with suitable solvents, etchants and neutralizers, grind the surface to a relatively smooth finish, apply an adhesive to the surface, and attach the strain gages or the like to the adhesive-bearing surface. After installing the condition-sensing gages to the casing or earth formation the assembly is withdrawn from the wellbore leaving the sensing gages securely attached to the casing or the subterranean earth formation.
