Abstract: A method for creating a weep hole is disclosed. The weep hole is drilled in an uncured, concrete, hollow core structural component having one or more external surfaces and one or more internal surfaces. The weep hole is drilled using a drilling apparatus comprising a drill, a rotating drill bit with an internal fluid passageway, a power source, and a pressurized fluid source. Loose, uncured concrete material deposited near the weep hole on the one or more internal surface as a result of drilling the weep hole is removed by releasing pressurized fluid which flows from the pressurized fluid source, through the drill and the rotating drill bit.

Abstract: A drilling device for forming an enlarged-diameter hole includes: a guide sleeve with a cylindrical body and a guide to be inserted into a bottomed hole; a slide body that slides in the cylindrical body; and a bit holder provided on the slide body swingably; and a diameter-enlarging bit with a cutting blade. The bit slides between a first position where the cutting blade is separated from a bottom of the bottomed hole and a second position where the cutting blade is closer to the bottom than that at the first position. The guide has: a guide piece that guides the cutting blade to a side part, of the bottomed hole, following an advance of the bit from the first position to the second position; and an opening which allows passage of the bit removed from the bit holder where the bit is at the first position.

Abstract: A magnetic base for an electric machine tool, in particular for a magnetic core drilling machine. A body that is accommodated in a receiving space. At least one first magnet coil constituting an electromagnet, a coil winding of the at least one first magnet coild being wound on a bobbin and a magnetic force of which is switchable between a maximum resultant holding force and a minimum resultant holding force. The coil winding of the magnet coil has two end sections that are each connected to a connecting cable that serves to make electrical contact between the magnetic coil and the electric machine tool. The body has a first side adapted to be coupled to the electric machine tool and has an opposite second side adapted to be placed on a workpiece that is to be processed. End sections of the coil winding are connected to the connecting cables.

Abstract: A drilling tool includes: a drive source; a bit attachment portion to which an end bit is attachable; a power transmission portion configured to apply a motive force to the end bit attached to the bit attachment portion; an operation portion switchable between an ON-state and an OFF-state by a manual operation and configured to receive a setting operation for setting a stop condition; and a controller configured to set the stop condition based on the setting operation, and to start driving of the drive source in response to a first switching operation for switching the operation portion from the OFF-state to the ON-state. In a state where the stop condition is set, even when the operation portion is in the ON-state, the controller stops driving of the drive source in response to the stop condition being met while the drive source is being driven.

Abstract: A method for setting a screw, which has an external thread in a front region and a drive in a rear region for introducing a torque into the screw, in a drilled hole in a substrate of a mineral material includes producing an internal thread in the drilled hole by a threaded drill provided with a cutting thread and then introducing the screw into the drilled hole and in so doing the external thread of the screw is screwed into the internal thread, produced by the threaded drill, in the drilled hole. The external diameter of the cutting thread of the threaded drill is smaller than the external diameter of the external thread of the screw.

Abstract: A hole drilling device for forming an expanded-diameter hole portion at an inner bottom part of a mounting hole includes: a shaft including a contact surface and a tapered surface, and a cutter including a stopper provided on a side surface of the cutter, the stopper coming into contact with a surface of a drilling object. The cutter is movable between a first position and a second position. When the cutter is in the first position, the contact surface is in contact with the inner bottom part of the mounting hole, and the stopper is away from the surface of the drilling object. When the cutter is in the second position, the cutter has been pushed in forward from the first position, the cutting bit has protruded laterally from the tapered surface, and the stopper is in contact with the surface of the drilling object.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system includes a counterbore drill bit, pre-cut lead rods of predetermined length, and a tapper tool. The counterbore drill bit includes a stop collar to drill counter bored holes with a first hole portion having a first diameter to a first depth below a surface of a material and a second hole portion having a second diameter less than the first to a second depth below the surface. The lead rods are inserted into the counter bored holes. The tapper tool mashes the second end of each lead rod in the one or more counterbored holes to expand and friction fit then in the counter bored holes. The system further includes circular survey tags insertable into the first hole and fasteners with a head and a shaft insertable through a center hole in the survey tags to retain the tags coupled to the lead rods.

Abstract: A dust suction drill includes: a drill tip with cutting edge portions; a shaft joined to the drill tip and configured to rotate about an axis; and a dust suction passage that is generated when the cutting edge portions rotate, the dust suction passage being formed inside the shaft. The cutting edge portions are provided on a distal end surface of the drill tip and spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction. Cutting edges, each of which is formed by a joint ridge between a rake face and a relief face of a corresponding one of the cutting edge portions, are arranged radially, and at a center of the drill tip, form a chisel point, which is a pointed end. A dust suction hole, which communicates with the dust suction passage, is formed in the rake face or the relief face closely to the chisel point.
