Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product are provided. The apparatus may be a UE configured to receive from a base station access parameters corresponding to respective types of access controls for different types of data services, receive a TFT established at a core network based on mapping a packet filter to access control information for each type of access control, receive a data packet from an application, match the data packet to the packet filter to determine access control information corresponding to the data packet, and establish communication for the data packet based on access parameters for the determined access control information. Alternatively, the apparatus may be policy server configured to receive a request for traffic control regarding data being communicated to an application server, determine a policy update for the application server based on the request, and transmit the policy update to a UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a radio access network node, an indication that a time synchronization change has been detected. Accordingly, the UE may adjust a clock associated with the UE based at least in part on the indication. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, an apparatus may receive a configuration indicating a set of non-public networks (NPNs), wherein the configuration includes at least one of: a time condition for accessing the set of NPNs, or a location condition for accessing the set of NPNs. The apparatus may scanning for the set of NPNs based at least in part on the configuration. The apparatus may register with an available NPN, of the set of NPNs, based at least in part on the time condition or the location condition being met for the available NPN. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a control message indicating one or more decryption keys for multicast and broadcast service (MBS) communications within a geographic service area supported by one or more cells of a non-terrestrial network (NTN) or a terrestrial network (TN). The UE may also receive geographic information associated with the geographic coverage area, synchronization information associated with the one or more cells, prioritization information associated with the one or more cells, or a combination thereof. Accordingly, the UE may receive an MBS message via the one or more cells, and may decrypt the MBS message based on the control message, the geographic information, the synchronization information, the prioritization information, or a combination thereof. The techniques described herein may enable the UE to receive encrypted MBS communications within the geographic service area.

LOCATION REPORTING PROCEDURES COMPRISING HEIGHT INFORMATION FOR AERIAL USER EQUIPMENT

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for enhancing location reporting procedures to include height information of a user equipment (UE), such as an aerial UE. The location reporting procedures may be between a core network entity and an access network entity. Due to the differences in coverage regions between areal cells and terrestrial cells, aerial UEs may not fully rely on cell identifiers (IDs) as a primary location indicator due to its ambiguity (e.g., as the aerial UEs may use a side-lobe or up-tilted beam of a far-away cell that provides a cell ID while its conventional geographical location belongs to another, closer cell). Aspects of the present disclosure provides techniques for enhancing the location reporting procedures for the aerial UEs to prevent such potential errors in location reporting.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described herein. For example, a UE may transmit a radio capability identifier to a network entity. In some examples, the radio capability identifier may indicate a set of radio capabilities of the UE. In response to receiving the radio capability identifier, the network entity may determine feedback indicating whether the set of radio capabilities indicated by the radio capability identifier satisfy a respective radio capabilities of a radio capability profile for an application associated with the UE. The network entity may transmit the determined feedback to the UE and, in response, the UE may establish a session for the application associated with the UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration associated with a service, the configuration indicating a first set of one or more parameters for accessing the service in a multicast mode using non-access stratum (NAS)-based signaling, and a second set of one or more parameters for accessing the service in a broadcast mode within a broadcast service area. The UE may receive information associated with the service using one of the multicast mode or the broadcast mode. The UE may switch to receiving information associated with the service using the other of the multicast mode or the broadcast mode based at least in part on the first set of one or more parameters or the second set of one or more parameters. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: A UE transmits an indication of a capability for at least one of determining a domain name system (DNS) parameter for a DNS query that is different than a DNS setting from a network and redirecting the DNS query based on the DNS setting from the network. The UE receives, from the network, an instruction to monitor DNS queries based on the capability of the UE and enforcing the DNS settings from the network. An SMF receives, from a UE, an indication of a capability for at least one of determining a DNS parameter for a DNS query that is different than a DNS setting from a network and redirecting the DNS query based on the DNS setting from the network. The apparatus transmits, to the UE, an instruction to monitor DNS queries and to enforce the DNS settings from the network based on the capability of the UE.
