摘要： A fastener and associated lock washer having an integral anti-rotation mechanism. The head of the fastener includes a plurality of saw teeth—arranged in a radial array. A lock washer is configured to interact with the head of the fastener. The lock washer includes one or more spring tabs positioned to bear against the radial array of saw teeth. As the fastener is rotated in a first direction, the saw teeth depress and pass over the spring tab(s). However, if the user attempts to rotate the fastener in the opposite direction, the spring tab snaps up into the saw teeth and arrests the motion—in the manner of a ratchet and pawl mechanism. The invention preferably includes a second means for selectively defeating the anti-rotation mechanism.

摘要： A sealing device in the form of a plug that is receivable in a threaded hole of a case includes a threaded central body, a skirt connected to the central body, and locking/unlocking means that opposes spontaneous unscrewing of the plug and is automatically activated by rotation of the plug and corresponding movement along an axis. The locking/unlocking means includes a first releasable coupling component coupled for rotation with the central body, and a second releasable coupling component facing the first coupling component at least during screwing and unscrewing. In at least in a tightened condition of the plug, the second coupling component is secured against rotation relative to the case by rotation restricting means located inside the threaded bore. In the screwed condition, an annular end face of the skirt bears against a bearing face of the second releasable coupling component to transmit tightening thrust to the case.

摘要： A bolt retention system includes a bolt and a receiver. The bolt has a head formed at the end having a radial thickness greater than an adjacent neck and a threaded portion having a plurality of external bolt threads. The receiver has a spring section, a threaded section, and a bracket section. The spring section has a distal end that springs outwardly from a longitudinal axis of the bolt as the head of the bolt passes through the spring section, the distal end of the spring section being biased to maintain contact with the neck of the bolt after the head of the bolt passes through the spring section to create an interference fit with the head of the bolt. The threaded section of the receiver is adapted to receive the threaded portion of the bolt for securing the bolt to the work piece.

摘要： A fastening device including a fastener having a head portion and an elongated threaded body portion extending axially from the head portion. The threaded body portion includes opposing flat sections. A lock washer has a lower surface with an array of radially extending engagement teeth. The lock washer also defines an axial aperture for receiving the fastener. The axial aperture has two flat inner surfaces for cooperating with the two flat sections of the threaded body portion to prevent relative rotation of the washer and threaded body portion. A threaded lock nut mates with the threaded body portion. The lock nut has an upper surface with at least one cantilevered pawl members for ratcheted engagement with the array of radially extending engagement teeth of the lock washer.

Also disclosed is means for allowing for movement of the equipment mount with respect to the mounting aperture due to thermal expansion of a portion of the prime mover.
