Abstract: A wireless power transmission apparatus includes a user interface configured to receive a user input through touch sensors, a memory, and a processor. The processor may obtain touch data values corresponding to the touch sensors, respectively. The processor may obtain an average touch data value of the touch sensors, based on the touch data values, determine a variable threshold value with respect to a touch sensor from among the touch sensors, the variable threshold value being obtained by adding, to the average touch data value, a default threshold value corresponding to the touch sensor, and determine whether or not a touch input is generated with respect to the touch sensor, based on a result of comparing a touch data value with respect to the touch sensor with the variable threshold value with respect to the touch sensor.

Abstract: A method of detecting a user touch on a capacitive touch screen may include generating drive signals for drive lines of the capacitive touch screen. The drive signals are encoded by codes that respectively specify polarities of the drive signals at different times. The codes may include a background code that specifies the same polarity for the drive signals, and the remaining codes are orthogonal to the background code and specify that half of the drive signals have a first polarity and half of the drive signals have a second opposite polarity. The method includes measuring output signals at sensing lines of the capacitive touch screen, which include values corresponding to the codes for the drive signals, and decoding the output signals to determine a touch has occurred based on the values of the output signals, by excluding values corresponding to the background code.

Abstract: A stylus detecting system includes a sense array including N number of first lines and M number of second lines crossing the N number of first lines; and a touch controller connected to the sense array and configured to: (i) in a touch object detecting mode, drive the N number of first lines as transmission (TX) lines with a finger sensing TX signal and measure reception (RX) signals on the M number of second lines as RX lines, and (ii) in a stylus detecting mode, measure a stylus TX signal transmitted by a stylus, on both the N number of first lines and the M number of second lines, using #number of multiple RX channels (#RX channels) to sense more than one line of the first and second lines at the same time, such that a complete stylus scan includes (N+M)/(#RX channels) number of scans.
