Abstract: A display panel includes a fingerprint recognition layer, a light path layer, and a display panel main body. The fingerprint recognition layer includes a plurality of transistors disposed in an array and a plurality of photosensors electrically connected to the plurality of transistors. Active layer patterns of the transistors and photosensitive layer patterns of the photosensors are disposed at a same layer. The amorphous silicon layers of the transistors and the photosensors are made in a single process, thereby reducing the photomask and manufacturing process.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a display method and an electronic device. The electronic device includes an application processor, a display driver chip, and a display panel. The display panel is configured to display a first image. The application processor is configured to send first indication information and a first parameter to the display driver chip. The display driver chip is configured to: control, based on the received first indication information, brightness of a fingerprint recognition area in the first image to be first brightness, and control brightness of a mask area in the first image to be second brightness. The brightness of the mask area is controlled based on the first parameter, and the mask area is an area in the first image except the fingerprint recognition area. The display panel is configured to display an updated first image.

Abstract: Techniques of operating an AR system include determining hand gestures formed by a user based on a sequence of two-dimensional images through skin of the user's wrist acquired from a near-infrared camera. Specifically, an image capture device disposed on a band worn around a user's wrist includes a source of electromagnetic radiation, e.g., light-emitting diodes in the infrared (IR) wavelength band that emit the radiation into the user's wrist and an IR detector which produces the sequence of two-dimensional images of a region within a dermal layer in the user's wrist. From this sequence, gesture detection circuitry determines values of a biological flow metric, e.g., a change in perfusion index (PI) between frames of the sequence, based on a trained model that generates the metric from the sequence. Finally, the gesture detection circuitry maps the values of the biological flow metric to specific hand/finger movements that determine a gesture.

The light emitting layer includes a plurality of anti-peeping sub-pixels and a plurality of display sub-pixels. The light shielding layer includes a plurality of light shielding components. Each of the light shielding components includes a light transmitting area and a light shielding area located on at least one side of the light transmitting area. A corresponding one of the photosensitive devices can receive at least part of light reflected by a fingerprint through the light transmitting area. An orthographic projection of each of the anti-peeping sub-pixels on the light shielding layer is at least partially located in a corresponding one of the light shielding components.
