The intake pipe includes an interference prevention member that prevents air passing through a specific one of the passages from flowing into the other passages. 摘要： An air intake assembly for a motorcycle provides increased air flow to the carburetor by increasing the intake area of the ducting and placing it out in the air stream facing forward so that a ram air effect is achieved. Increased intake area is provided by dual velocity stacks arranged in an over-and-under vertical orientation positioned directly adjacent the side of the engine to minimize the width of the motorcycle. A compact aesthetically-pleasing assembly is provided which can also increase performance.

摘要： An air cleaner is prevented from sucking mud etc., while a relatively large space is ensured in front of a seat, in an under bone type straddle type vehicle which has an area recessed downward in front of the seat. An air cleaner is disposed in the rear of a cylinder block of an engine. The air cleaner includes a cleaner case that is taller than it is broad and a lid that covers a top of the cleaner case. An intake pipe is positioned at a rear side of the lid. The intake pipe is disposed within a space surrounded by the seat and a forward descending portion of a seat front cover, and opens obliquely upward rearward. A labyrinth structure is formed above the intake pipe for preventing drops of water from entering the intake pipe from the seat.

摘要： The intake manifold assembly comprises three blocks each molded from a plastic material by injection molding, the three blocks consisting of a first block defining a half of the surge tank, a second block defining a half of the individual intake pipes and a third block defining a remaining half of the surge tank and a remaining half of the individual intake pipes. Thereby, the intake manifold assembly may be provided with various features for defining a pair of intake pipe sections arranged in a mutually parallel relationship while being made to be suitable for an injection molding process. Because the surge tank are defined by the first and third blocks while the individual intake pipes are defined by the second and third blocks, the intake manifold assembly essentially consisting of three blocks can internally define essential features required for a dual port intake device without requiring additional component members.

摘要： An engine air intake system including an engine air intake device and a plenum cooling compartment that is separate from the engine compartment by a baffle. The plenum cooling compartment is formed by the baffle, side doors, a fan door and a floor and contains a heat exchanger. A fan draws outside ambient air into the plenum cooling compartment, via perforations in the top and side doors, and out of the plenum cooling area via the heat exchanger. The cooling compartment is designed such that a distance between the heat exchanger and the baffle provides a gap from which the engine air intake device removes ambient air as a source for engine air. An option is provide for the system to withdraw outside ambient air from an area external to the plenum cooling compartment in high debris environments. The engine air intake system cleans the air before supplying it to the engine.

摘要： An air cleaner housing includes an upper case, a partition wall and a lower case. The inside thereof is partitioned into an upper, filtered side and a lower unfiltered side. Intake funnel pipes, connected to front and rear cylinders, project into the filtered side. An air cleaner element is provided on the front side relative to a hollow plenum above the intake funnel pipes. Inlets in side surfaces of the unfiltered side face toward a V bank of the engine. During use, air enters the bottom of the housing, and is cleaned by the air cleaner element. The clean air flows through the filtered side of the housing, into the intake funnel pipes and toward the cylinders on the lower side. A raised portion is formed on the front upper side of the upper case, and the air cleaner element is disposed inside the raised portion.

摘要： In an air intake system, a rear tower having a space interiorly is provided on the top surface of a body frame, a rear pillar having a passageway interiorly is mounted on the rear tower, an air intake port communicating with the passageway is provided in the rear pillar, the passageway and the space within the rear tower are connected together, an expansion silencer is connected to the space of the rear tower, and an air cleaner is connected to the expansion silencer. The top surface of a working oil tank is rendered lower than the upper end of a side plate to form a space above the top surface, where the expansion silencer is provided. A base bracket is mounted to the air cleaner, a support bracket is mounted on the side plate, and the base bracket is mounted on the support bracket to support the air cleaner above the expansion silencer.
