摘要： A sign standard includes a trio of legs pivotally interconnected at one end and spaced no more than 90* apart. An upstanding post is pivotally connected to the center leg and includes a pivotal cross arm. The post is comprised of telescopic sections with the top section having a cap cooperating with the cross arm to hold a sign. A pair of pivotal braces are connected to the post and their outer ends are received in openings in the outer legs. One of the braces is longer than the other such that when the post is pivoted to its upstanding position the one brace is received in the leg opening first followed by the engagement of the other brace in its leg opening. In a collapsed condition the post is pivoted down and the outer legs are pivoted in such that all elements are parallel. A pin is provided on a chain connected to the post and when the post is in an upstanding position the pin extends through aligned apertures in the post and the center leg and when the standard is collapsed the chain extends around and under the legs and through the post. The braces each carry downwardly facing apertured ears which are positioned between apertured plates on the post and the pin extends through the plates and the ears when the standard is collapsed.

摘要： A delineator system includes an anchor having an end portion and a post extending along a longitudinal direction and having an end portion overlapping with the end portion of the anchor. The overlapping end portions are coupled together with an engagement member. A protective collar is moveable relative to the post and the anchor along the longitudinal direction from a non-installed position to an installed position. The protective collar is disposed over and covers the overlapping end portions and the engagement member when in the installed position. Methods of manufacturing and installing a post, and other delineator systems and delineator posts are also provided.

摘要： A ground screw anchor foundation for a roadside sign comprises at least one elongated soil screw defining a longitudinal axis. The soil screw includes a barrel section having an upper end and a lower end and a substantially circular cross-section of a first diameter. A point section is connected to the lower end, the point section tapering from a second diameter at a position along the longitudinal axis proximate to the barrel section to a third diameter at a position along the longitudinal axis distal to the barrel section. A helical thread is disposed on an outer surface of at least a portion of the point section. A first component of a breakaway system is mounted on the upper end of the barrel section of the soil screw. The first component is adapted for releasable connection in a breakaway manner to a second component on a roadside sign.

摘要： A base for supporting a removable sign post on a surface utilizes a clamp, housed within a tubular housing, to grip and engage the post in a gripping position. The clamp has a clamp element that is flexibly displaceable to grip the post or alternatively has more than one discrete clamp element, each of which is actuable relative to the housing. Actuators, such as setscrews or bolts, are advanced through the housing into engagement with a corresponding clamp element to cause the clamp to grip the post. The actuators are retractable from the housing to cause the clamp to release from the post in a released position to enable removal of the post or insertion of the post into the base.
