Abstract:
A suspension type road traffic warning signs and a sign system are provided, which belong to the machinery manufacturing field. To solve the technical problem that warning signs must be set at 150 meters away when a car in operation breaks down, a solution is put forward that the warning signs (1, 2, 3, 4) and the sign system (5, 6, 7, 8) are assembled with balloons (1-2, 2-2, 3-2, 4-2), scrolls (25), heavy objects (14), miniature remote control cars (5-1), miniature helicopters (6-1), small rockets (9), skidding tools and car rods (17). The suspension type road traffic warning signs and the sign system are suitable for the condition that warning signs must be set when cars are broken down in driving.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an infill which can be inserted into a bollard footing hole. The infill is designed such that it allows a bollard to be fit over it, and the infill fits within a footing hole. Methods of covering a footing hole are also bought.
Abstract:
A portable and compact retroreflective sign system includes a base, a winding mechanism roller attached to the base, and a retroreflective roll-up sheeting having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is attached to the roller and the sign is wound about the roller. A sign support is attached to the base for supporting the roll-up sign in an unrolled position, wherein the sign support is extendible from the base. An attachment means is present at the second end of the retroreflective roll-up sheeting for attaching the sheeting to the sign support.
Abstract:
A flexible, raised snowplowable pavement marker having a top portion that readily deforms downwardly into a base portion when impacted by vehicular traffic or a snowplow blade. Markers installed in a cavity bored in pavement are anchored in place with grouts or alternatively within an annular ring mounting device. The marker body may be black in color to take advantage of solar activity in improving marker performance and longevity and may be vented to atmosphere to facilitate the downward deflection of the top portion of the pavement marker. A retroreflective sheeting is affixed to the marker so that the marker is highly visible to motor vehicle drivers at nighttime.
Abstract:
A removable and collapsible barricade post assembly for the restriction of vehicular traffic. The barricade post assembly has a novel base assembly that allow the post assembly to be removed from its mounting bracket which is normally permanently affixed to the ground. Alternatively, the post assembly can remain attached to its mounting bracket while being lowered to allow the passage of vehicular traffic. The barricade post assembly has a number of security features to restrict the unauthorized removal or collapsing of the barricade post. A cover assembly to enhance security and to provide weather protection for the barricade post assembly is also described.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to decorative border fence system comprising a ground anchor, a vertical posted fitted into the ground anchor but adapted to be easily removed therefrom, where the border fence system comprises a plurality ground anchor with fitted vertical posts. If desired, the fence system can include intervening chain-links means interconnected between adjacent vertical posts.
Abstract:
An elongated flexible tube of resilient plastics material includes an upper end portion and a lower end portion and is capable of being repetitively bent through an angle of ninety degrees and of returning to an upright straight position with the aid of a flexible erecting member within the tube. The upper end portion may be thermally flattened for receiving a panel of reflective material or the reflective material may wrap around the tube. In one embodiment, the lower end portion of the tube projects into a hole within the ground and carries outwardly projecting spring fingers which positively lock into the ground. In another embodiment, a molded plastic base member releasably retains the lower end portion of the tube and is adapted to be cemented to a roadway surface. Also disclosed is a tool for quickly forming a series of holes within the ground to receive the lower end portions of the tubes.
Abstract:
A marker device having a casing which is inserted into a hole drilled into the surface of the ground. Hinged arms are unfolded and extended through slots in the casing to secure the device against withdrawal from the hole. A suitably colored plug may be fitted into the upper end of the casing to be visible above the surface. A number of such devices placed in a row at suitably spaced intervals define a permanently marked line appearing either at or near the level of the ground surface or projecting thereabove. The device is readily converted for use as an anchoring means for a post or the like.
Abstract:
A traffic control device includes a base having a post aperture, a post adjustably and removably coupled to the base through the post aperture and a pavement marker. The pavement marker is affixed to a surface. The base may include a recess for receiving the pavement marker, such that a bottom side of the base rests on the surface with the pavement marker retained within the base. The post aperture extends from a top surface of the base to the recess of the base. The post includes one of a magnet and a metal plate coupled to an end of the post. The pavement marker includes one of a magnet and a metal plate, wherein the pavement marker comprises a magnet if the post comprises a metal plate and the pavement marker comprises a metal plate if the post comprises a magnet.
Abstract:
A traffic control device is made up of a round lower tube of a rigid material, a round adapter tube of a flexible material, and a round upper tube of a rigid material. An upper portion of the upper tube provides a motorist recognizable indicia. A lower portion of the adapter tube is inserted axially within the lower tube and secured by mutually engaging portions of the tubes. An upper portion of the adapter tube is joined with the upper tube by mutually engaging fasteners. An upper end of the lower tube is spaced apart from a lower end of the upper tube by between one and five inches to allow for the adapter tube to bend by 90 angular degrees.
