摘要: In various embodiments, a system for delivering an implantable device inside a body cavity includes: 1) a core cannula; 2) an access sheath; 3) an injection apparatus for filling the implantable device with one or more fluids; and 4) expanding members operatively connected to the core cannula for preventing the core cannula from advancing through a body orifice once the core cannula and expanding members exist the access sheath. According to particular embodiments, a distal end of the core cannula is pre-attached to the implantable device through a device locking member. In one or more embodiments, upon assessment, an injection apparatus is removed using an injection apparatus handle, the implantable device is detached from the core cannula via a device deployment handle (to be implanted), and the access sheath is removed.

摘要: Systems for partitioning a ventricle of a heart include a partitioning device or implant, and an applicator for inserting, repositioning and/or removing the partitioning device. The implant may support the ventricle wall and may reduce the volume of the ventricle. The delivery system for delivering and deploying a partitioning device into a ventricle may include a catheter having a distal coupling element for coupling to a partitioning device in a collapsed configuration; the catheter may also have an expansion member for applying force to the partitioning device to fully expand it into a deployed configuration and to secure or seal it against the ventricle wall.

The device has a closed mesh structure forming by a plurality of flexible filaments. The device also has a proximal collar and a distal collar with the flexible filaments extending therebetween. The closed mesh structure is movable from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration.

摘要: A constraining sheath for use around an endoprosthesis (e.g., a stent device, with or without a graft covering), which may be a balloon expandable endoprosthesis but more preferably is a self-expanding prosthesis. The endoprosthesis is coaxially enclosed within and substantially covered by the constraining sheath, which is an outer, removable tubular sheath, preferably made of ePTFE. The sheath is preferably corrugated circumferentially along at least a portion of the length of the endoprosthesis. The constraining sheath and endoprosthesis are preferably mounted together as an assembly at the distal end of a delivery means such as a catheter shaft, for delivery of the endoprosthesis to a desired location within a body conduit such as an artery. The constraining sheath is removed by the application of tension to a tensile member such as a tether to cause sequential pulling out of the corrugations followed by release and deployment of the endoprosthesis. The use of a corrugated constraining sheath in comparison to a non-corrugated sheath results in a more smoothly applied tensile force to effect the endoprosthesis release as well as requiring less maximum force.

摘要: A vascular occlusion device deployment system for placing an occlusion device at a preselected site within the vasculature of a patient. The deployment system employing a pusher having a lumen with an opening at the distal end of the pusher. A vascular occlusion device is connected to the distal end of the pusher by a portion that is removeably disposed within the opening. The portion of the occlusion device is forced out of the opening by an expandable reaction chamber, thereby deploying the occlusion device.
