摘要: An apparatus for treating an aneurysm in a blood vessel includes an occlusion element disposed on a wire, the occlusion element including a cover for covering a neck of an aneurysm and an inner anchoring member. The cover is configured to expand from a compressed configuration in a tube to an expanded configuration when advanced out of a distal end of the tube to cover the neck of the aneurysm. The cover includes a sphere of mesh material formed into a hemisphere including two layers of mesh that is formed by folding a top portion of the sphere into a bottom portion of the sphere. The inner anchoring member is coupled to and extends from the second surface of the cover and is configured to contact an interior surface of the aneurysm. The inner anchoring member may be a cylindrical stem extending from a central portion of the cover.

摘要: In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a catheter having a catheter body, a light emitter disposed at a distal end of the catheter body, and a fluid conduit coupleable to a source of fluid. The fluid conduit configured to discharge fluid from the source via the conduit and out a distal end of the catheter body. A spacing member is disposed at the distal end of the catheter body and can be moved between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. In the expanded configuration, the spacing member is disposed about the light emitter. The spacing member is at least partially transmissive and/or transflective of light emitted from the light emitter. The apparatus configured to be inserted at least partially into a body lumen, to discharge fluid into the body lumen, and to emit light from the light emitter to illuminate an interior wall of the body lumen.

摘要: The method of delivering an implant in an intracranial vessel includes deploying an anchor of a tethering device in an anchoring vessel forming a first fixation point and advancing a guide-sheath to a location near the anchoring vessel. The tethering device has a tether extending proximally from the anchor and the guide-sheath has at least one lumen. The method includes attaching the guide-sheath to the tether of the tethering device forming a second fixation point proximal to the first fixation point, delivering an implant through the lumen of the guide-sheath towards a treatment site distal to the first fixation point and located within an intracranial vessel, and deploying the implant at the treatment site. Related devices, systems, and methods are also provided.

摘要: Disclosed is a false lumen closure assembly for closing a false lumen in a body vessel including a compressed false lumen occluder, a carrier catheter and a retractable sheath. The compressed false lumen occluder includes a stent graft including at least one occlusive barrier across the stent graft to occlude blood flow through an interior of the stent graft. The carrier catheter carries the false lumen occluder and extends from a proximal end proximal of the false lumen occluder to a distal end distal of the false lumen occluder, and passes the false lumen occluder exteriorly of the stent graft. The compressed false lumen occluder and at least part of the carrier catheter are disposed in a lumen of the retractable sheath.

摘要: A flow diverter device for restricting blood flow to an aneurysm at a blood vessel bifurcation is disclosed and described. The flow diverter device includes a linear device body that includes a high-density distal cap having an outer convex shape structurally configured to engage an aneurysm ostium on a blood vessel side at a blood vessel bifurcation, such that the high-density distal cap restricts blood flow into the aneurysm from the blood vessel bifurcation, a low-density section adjacent the high-density distal cap to allow blood flow through the blood vessel bifurcation, a stent section adjacent the low-density section and structurally configured to stabilize the linear device body in a lumen of the blood vessel bifurcation, and a proximal wire attachment at a lateral edge of the stent section, where the stent section terminally couples to a distal end of the proximal wire attachment.

The device includes a plurality of wires coiled to form a collapsible frame configured to expand and substantially conform to a shape of an inside surface of the blood vessel while the aneurysm is being treated. The device includes a retention wire disposed at a proximal end of the frame of the plurality of wires. The device includes a cover comprising at least a first portion configured to be disposed directly against a neck of the aneurysm while the aneurysm is being treated, the first portion having a first porosity to blood flow. Related methods of use and manufacturing are also provided.

摘要: A system comprising first, second, and third shape memory polymers (SMPs); wherein (a) the first SMP is a biodegradable open cell foam that includes a first channel; (b) the second SMP includes a second channel and is included in the first channel; (c) the foam is in a first state and is configured to expand to a second state, radially outward from the second foam, in response to thermal stimulus; (d) the third SMP is between the first and second SMPs and includes a stent having a first strut that includes the third SMP and a second strut that includes the third SMP; and (e) each of the first, second, and third SMPs is coupled to a wire.
