Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting/receiving channel state information for use in multi-antenna system are provided. A signal communication method of a base station having a plurality of antennas in a wireless communication system includes determining antenna ports of first and second directions based on directions of the plurality of antennas, allocating channel measurement resources for the respective antenna ports to a terminal, transmitting a feedback configuration to the terminal according to the channel measurement resources, and receiving feedback information from the terminal based on the channel measurement resource and the feedback configuration. The signal transmission/reception method and apparatus are advantageous in transmitting/receiving channel state information efficiently in the system using a plurality of antennas.

Abstract: A discovery signal transmission/reception method and an apparatus for improving energy efficiency of the system are provided. The discovery signal transmission method of a base station in a mobile communication system according to the present disclosure includes acquiring a discovery signal configuration of a neighbor cell, transmitting the discovery signal configuration to a terminal, receiving a measurement report including a result of measurement on a discovery signal of the neighbor from the terminal, the measurement being performed based on the discovery signal configuration, and determining whether to make a handover decision for the terminal based on the measurement report. The discovery signal transmission/reception method of the present disclosure is advantageous in improving energy efficiency of a mobile communication system.

Abstract: Apparatuses (including base stations and terminals), systems, and methods for supporting both wideband and narrowband communications are described. In one aspect, a base station supporting first type terminals operating on a first bandwidth and second type terminals operating on a second bandwidth is described, having an information formatter, a transceiver, and a controller. The information formatter generates a Low-end Master Information Block (L-MIB) and a Low-end System Information Block (L-SIB), which are transmitted by the transceiver to first type and second type terminals. The L-MIB includes control information on an L-subframe configuration for supporting a second type terminal and a sub-band configuration of the L-subframe, while the L-SIB includes information on downlink reception and uplink transmission of the second type terminal. When the base station receives a Random Access Channel (RACH) preamble request from one of the terminals, the base station performs the random access procedure.

Abstract: The present invention defines a method for controlling uplink transmission power of a terminal in a communication system which is operated by combining heterogeneous systems. Specifically, the present invention defines a method for selectively applying a power control command in order to control uplink power of a terminal in a communication system which is operated by combining an LTE/LTE-A system with a system which applies a new radio access technology, and a method for differently operating power control units depending on whether beam sweeping is applied or not. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for converging IoT technology and a 5G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rate after a 4G system, and a system thereof. The present disclosure can be applied to an intelligent service (for example, a smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, and security and safety related service etc.) based on 5G communication technology and IoT related technology. The present invention relates to a signal receiving method and apparatus of a terminal in device-to-device wireless communication. In the present invention, a D2D reception terminal can measure a DM RS transmitted together with a PSBCH or detect energy with respect to the entirety of or a part of a symbol region through which the PSBCH or DM RS in a synchronization subframe can be transmitted so as to enable use as a criterion for determining whether to retry PSBCH decoding. When a DM RS measurement level or an energy detecting level is larger than a certain threshold value, the D2D reception terminal recognizes that the PSBCH has been transmitted and may retry the PSBCH decoding for a certain time or a certain number of times. When a DM RS measurement level or an energy detecting level is smaller than a certain threshold value, the D2D reception terminal recognizes that the PSBCH has not been transmitted and may not retry the PSBCH decoding. When the PSBCH decoding is not retried, the D2D reception terminal can try other PSSS/SSSS detection. Through the present invention, the D2D reception terminal can avoid inefficient operation of retrying the PSBCH decoding for a certain time or a certain number of times despite non-transmission of the PSBCH.
