Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a client device may receive a discovery signal from a host device; determine whether to use a receive timing from the host device, an internal timing of the client device, or a combination of the receive timing and the internal timing to configure a reference timing; configure the reference timing, for transmission of a response to the discovery signal, using the receive timing from the host device, the internal timing of the client device, or the combination of the receive timing and the internal timing based at least in part on the determination of whether to use the receive timing, the internal timing, or the combination of the receive timing and the internal timing; and transmit the response to the host device using the configured reference timing. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a method of operating a scheduled entity for wireless communication. In some aspects, the scheduled entity determines to modify a first quality of service (QoS) level for a data transmission from the first device to a second device, wherein the first device is configured to communicate with the second device through a direct wireless communication link, and wherein the first QoS level is requested by an application of the first device. The scheduled entity modifies the first QoS level to a second QoS level, wherein the direct wireless communication link is able to support the second QoS level and is unable to support the first QoS level. The scheduled entity transmits the data transmission based on the second QoS level.

Abstract: According to one aspect of the disclosure, a first method, a first computer-readable medium, and a first apparatus are provided. The first apparatus may be a UE. The first apparatus may receive, from a base station, a first grant associated with a first set of resource available to the first apparatus for transmission on a first sidelink channel. The first apparatus may determine whether to request, from the base station, a second grant associated with a second set of resources available to the first apparatus for transmission on the first sidelink channel. The first apparatus may send, to the base station, a request for the second grant when determining to request the second grant. Further, the first apparatus may send information on the first sidelink channel based on the first grant when determining not to request the second grant.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure are generally directed to vehicle techniques for selecting communication options for vehicle to everything (V2X) type communications. Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a user-equipment (UE). The method generally includes receiving one or more parameters for selection of one or more features associated with one or more radio-access technology (RATs), and selecting the one or more features to be used for communicating with one or more other UEs using a V2X communication protocol. The selection of the one or more features may be based on the one or more parameters. The method may also include communicating with the one or more other UEs via the selected one or more features.

Abstract: The present aspects relate to device-to-device (D2D) relaying in a wireless communication system. In an aspect, a remote user equipment (UE) may transmit, on at least one sidelink channel, a scheduling request to a relay UE connected with a network entity. The remote UE may further receive, on one or more sidelink channels, a scheduling indication including a resource grant from the relay UE in response to transmitting the scheduling request. In a further aspect, a relay UE may receive, on at least one sidelink channel, a scheduling request from a remote UE. The relay UE may further determine, a resource grant for the remote UE in response to receiving the scheduling request. The relay UE may further transmit, on one or more sidelink channels, a scheduling indication including the resource grant to the remote UE.
