Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus for V2V, V2X, or D2D communication may be a transmitting device configured to determine a source ID for communication over a link, to determine a destination ID for the communication over the link based on a type of the communication. The transmitting device may be further configured to transmit at least one control message over the link, where the control message(s) indicate the source ID and the destination ID. In certain aspects, a receiving device may be configured to receive the control message over the link, where the control message indicates the source ID and the destination ID. The receiving device may be configured to receive a data message over the link and to determine whether to attempt to decode the data message received over the link based on the source ID and the destination ID indicated in the control message.

Abstract: A device receives a coded message from a re-transmitting device designated by one or more devices for performing message re-transmission on their behalf. The coded message encodes a first message and a second message, where the receiving device has failed to receive at least the second message. The receiving device further receives a coding-based re-transmission indicator indicating that the coded message is configured as a coding-based re-transmission of two or more previously transmitted messages that are encoded together in the coded message. The receiving device recovers the second message by decoding the coded message. In another aspect, a re-transmitting device is designated by one or more devices for performing message re-transmission on behalf of the devices. The device generates a coded message that encodes a first and a second message; and transmits the coded message and an indicator indicating that the coded message is a coding-based re-transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may configure one or more user equipments (UEs) with one or more timers, such that the UEs may switch directions for a communication mode for the duration of a timer and during a discontinuous cycle. The UEs may activate the timers and may perform the switching operation during the active duration of a discontinuous cycle. A UE may transmit a sidelink message during a transmission on duration (TX-On). The UE may activate a timer and switch to a receive mode. Similarly, the second UE may receive the sidelink message during a reception on duration (RX-On) and may activate the timer. The second UE may switch to a TX-On mode for an on duration of a TX-On cycle to transmit a sidelink response.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may be co-located with a sidelink wireless device, such as a road-side unit (RSU). The base station may determine that a cellular user equipment (C-UE) and a vehicle UE (V-UE) are co-located, and altering downlink communications to the C-UE. The RSU may communicate over sidelink with a V-UE, and determine positioning information of a V-UE. The base station may communicate with a C-UE using downlink and uplink communications (e.g., Uu communications), and may determine some positioning information of a C-UE. The base station and RSU may communicate the positioning information of each device, and the base station may determine that the C-UE and V-UE are co-located. The base station may alter a feedback configuration for the C-UE based on the co-location determination.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter device may receive, for communication in a network, information identifying a channel access frame structure, wherein the channel access frame structure is associated with a plurality of transmission time intervals (TTIs) grouped into a single frame, and wherein resources of the plurality of TTIs are allocated for transmission of reservation signal based at least in part on prioritization information. The transmitter device may transmit, to a receiver device, a reservation signal using a resource of the plurality of TTIs to indicate use of a subsequent resource for a subsequent transmission based at least in part on the channel access frame structure and a prioritization of the subsequent transmission. Abstract: Techniques for device to device (D2D) wireless communication are provided. In an aspect, a first user equipment (UE) receives device-to-device (D2D) information from a second user equipment (UE). The first UE determines whether the first UE is within a threshold range from the second UE based on the D2D information. Application layer processing is enabled for a message in the D2D information, if the first UE is within the threshold range. The message is blocked from the application layer, if the first UE is not within the threshold range from the second UE.

The control plane message may include one or more types of policy information if a size of the one or more types of policy information is less than or equal to a maximum payload size of the control plane message, or information indicating at least a network location from where the one or more types of policy information may be obtained by the UE over a user plane if the size of the one or more types of policy information is greater than the maximum payload size of the control plane message, or a combination thereof.
