Abstract:
Provided is a tracking area assignment method by an access and mobility management function (AMF) in a wireless communication system. The method may include receiving, from a session management function (SMF), service and session continuity (SSC) mode indication information for a protocol data unit (PDU) session generated for a user equipment (UE), obtaining serving area information for a serving area of a serving user plane function (UPF) associated with the PDU session, determining the assignment of a new tracking area to the UE is necessary based on a tracking area pre-assigned to the UE and the serving area, and performing tracking area update for the assignment of the new tracking area to the UE if it is determined that the assignment of the new tracking area is necessary.
Abstract:
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided an interworking method between networks of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, including: performing a first interworking procedure for changing a network of the UE from a 5-generation core network (5GC) network to an evolved packet core (EPC) network, wherein, when an interface between the 5GC and the EPC networks does not exist, the performing of the first interworking procedure includes: receiving a first indication from an access and mobility management function (AMF) of the 5GC network; and performing a handover attach procedure in the EPC network based on the first indication.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the present description provides, in a situation in which, when a user equipment (UE) is roaming in a visited network, i.e. V-PLMN, the roaming is processed by means of a home routed (HR) mode and is successfully registered to H-PLMN IMS and a service is received, a method for performing authentication/registration of a UE, which is to receive an emergency service, if IMS-NNI does not exist between H-PLMN and V-PLMN.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for processing data, wherein, according to the occurrence of a loss of access of a terminal operating by SCM or TSCM, a first network entity operating in a first network receives a request to transmit data of second network, and receives the data of the second network from a third network entity, and buffers the data until a routing rule is updated.
Abstract:
A disclosure of the present specification provides a method for establishing a packer data network (PDN) connection by a user equipment (UE). The method may comprise the steps of: transmitting a session initiation protocol (SIP)-based request message for requesting sending of a voice over LTE (VoLTE) call through a first type PDN connection; receiving, from a network node, a message including information directly or indirectly indicating that there is a problem in the first type PDN connection, instead of a normal response message to the SIP-based request message; determining to change the PDN type from the first type to a second type, on the basis of the information in the received message; and transmitting, to a mobility management entity (MME), a PDN connection request message including information on the changed second type.
Abstract:
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method by which a network entity, which controls a control plane, determines whether to offload traffic of a user equipment (UE) to a wireless local area network (WLAN). The method can comprise a step of acquiring subscriber information on the UE from a subscriber information server, wherein the subscriber information can include a WLAN offloadability indication for a specific packet data network (PDN) connection. The method can comprise the steps of: determining WLAN offloadability for the specific PDN connection on the basis of the WLAN offloadability indication and configuration information; transmitting the WLAN offloadability indication to network nodes according to the determination; and transmitting the WLAN offloadability indication to the UE according to the determination.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for transmitting and receiving network-based internet protocol flow mobility (NBIFOM) capability, which receives, from a terminal, a first message including NBIFOM capability information of the terminal, checks whether a network entity supports NBIFOM, and receives a second message including NBIFOM capability information of the network entity from another network entity.
Abstract:
One disclosure of the present invention provides a method for selecting an enhanced packet data gateway (ePDG). The method may be performed by a user equipment (UE) and comprise: determining, by the UE which has roamed from a home public land mobile network (H-PLMN) to a visited public land mobile network (V-PLMN), whether there exists an indication for selecting ePDG in the V-PLMN; determining, by the UE, whether the UE has attached to any PLMN in the V-PLMN, when it is determined that there exists the indication; determining, by the UE, whether there exists an ePDG PLMN list for the any PLMN in the V-PLMN, when it is determined that the UE has attached to the any PLMN; and selecting, by the UE, at least one ePDG in the ePDG PLMN list.

Abstract:
A method of transmitting and receiving an emergency PDN connection-related signal, which is transmitted and received by an MME in a wireless communication system, comprising the steps of: receiving a PDN connectivity request message from a UE; determining whether or not an IMS NNI exists between a HPLMN (home public land mobile network) of the UE and a PLMN of the MME and whether or not an anonymous emergency call is permitted; and if the IMS NNI does not exist and the anonymous emergency call is not permitted, transmitting a PDN connectivity reject message to the UE.
