    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support power allocation or resource allocation for non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes a user equipment (UE) randomly selecting a parameter value associated with a power level of multiple power target levels, and transmitting, to a network entity and using the power level, an uplink communication. In a second aspect, a method of wireless communication includes a UE receiving, from a network entity, an indicator that indicates multiple resource candidates, each resource candidate of the multiple resource candidates overlaps with at least one other resource candidate of the multiple resource candidates, and transmitting, to the network entity and using a resource candidate of the multiple resource candidates, an uplink communication.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. For example, the described techniques provide for a wireless device transmitting an initial transmission associated with a data payload, such as a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) payload. The initial transmission may include a set of bits modulated using a first bit ordering scheme, and the set of bits may include a first bit subset that are transmitted with a lower transmission reliability than a second bit subset of the set of bits. The wireless device may modulate the first bit subset using a second bit ordering scheme that differs from the first bit ordering scheme to generate a modulated bit set. The second bit ordering scheme may be associated with a higher transmission reliability for the first bit subset. The wireless device may transmit the second transmission for the data payload with the modulated bit set.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to techniques for encoding and decoding bits of information using cyclic redundancy check (CRC) concatenated polar encoding and decoding. A method generally includes obtaining the bits of information to be transmitted. The method includes performing CRC outer encoding of the bits of information using an even-weighted generator polynomial to produce CRC encoded bits. The method includes performing polar inner encoding of the CRC encoded bits to generate a codeword. The method includes discarding a first code bit at a beginning of the codeword. The shortened codeword is transmitted over a wireless medium. In another method, bit-level scrambling is performed on the CRC encoded bits before the polar encoding to. In another method, only odd-weighted generator polynomials are selected.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) schemes to improve the likelihood that information is received correctly over a wireless communications link. In HARQ, when a transmitting device determines that a receiving device failed to successfully decode a transmission of information, the transmitting device may retransmit the information to the receiving device. In some cases, HARQ techniques may be used for communications associated with different types of services. In such cases, to keep the latency of communications within a latency budget for a particular type of service, wireless devices may utilize the techniques described herein to dynamically terminate HARQ retransmissions. For instance, a transmitting device may avoid retransmitting information when an amount of time that has elapsed since an original transmission of the information has exceeded the latency budget.

In some wireless communications systems, a transmitting device may be configured to transmit a transport block in a set of transmission time intervals (TTIs) of a repetition window to improve the chances that the transport block is received by a receiving device. In some cases, however, the transport block may not be available to be transmitted in the repetition window until after a first TTI of the repetition window. In such cases, a transmitting device may use the techniques described herein to identify appropriate configurations for transmitting the transport block in the repetition window. For example, the transmitting device may identify an adjusted redundancy version sequence to use for transmitting the transport block in the repetition window or the transmitting device may adjust a repetition window based on a TTI in which the transport block is available to be transmitted.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An encoder of a wireless device may receive a transport block (TB) for transmission and segment the transport block into a set of multiple, smaller data segments that respectively correspond to a plurality of code blocks of the TB. The encoder may generate a code block level (CB-level) error detection code (EDC) for a subset of the data segments. The encoder may generate a transport block-level (TB-level) EDC for the TB using the data segments. Each of the code blocks (CBs) may be of the same size and may include one of the data segments. A subset of the CBs may include a data segment from the subset of the data segments and one of the CB-level EDCs. The remaining CBs that are not part of the subset may include a remaining data segments and the TB-level EDC.
