Abstract: Systems and methods include providing an annular seal stack for an assembly. The seal stack is disposed within an annulus formed between a probe and a housing of the assembly and configured to provide a radial seal between the probe and the housing. The seal stack includes a first support retainer, a first lipseal, a first seal support system comprising at least one support ring disposed between the first support retainer and the first lipseal, a second support retainer configured to support the first lipseal, a second lipseal, a second seal support system comprising at least one support ring disposed between the second support retainer and the second lipseal, and a third support retainer configured to support the second lipseal.

Abstract: A polymer material including a fluorinated component and a silicone component can exhibit improved performance, such as increased thermal stability. An article can include the polymer material. For example, a coated fabric including the polymer material can exhibit improved dielectric strength. A composition for forming the polymer material can include a dispersion comprising a fluorinated component and an emulsion comprising a reactive silicone component. In an embodiment, a single pass film formed from the composition can have an increased critical crack thickness. A method can include forming a polymer material from the composition.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a low friction bearing liner for a solenoid that may include a core layer, a first outer layer overlying a first surface of the core layer, a second outer layer overlying the first outer layer, a first inner layer overlying a second surface of the core layer that is opposite of the first surface of the core layer, and a second inner layer overlying the first inner layer. The first outer layer and the first inner layer may include a fluoropolymer material and may have a melt flow rate of at least about 2 g/10 min at 372° C. The second outer layer and the second inner layer may include a fluoropolymer material distinct from the fluoropolymer material of the first outer layer and may have a surface coefficient of friction of not greater than about 0.2.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an antiviral thin film layer that may include a metallic material. The antiviral thin film layer may have a VLT of at least about 60%. The antiviral thin film layer may further have an influenza A subtype H1N1 antiviral rating (H1N1 antiviral rating) of not greater than about 360 minutes, where the H1N1 antiviral rating is defined as the amount of time required for H1N1 viral activity on a surface of the metallic layer to drop from an initial test concentration placed on the surface of the thin film layer to less than 25.0% of the initial concentration placed on the surface as measured using ISO21702.

Further included is a method of forming the composite tube which includes providing a first layer including a thermoplastic polymer having a Tg of not greater than about 160° C.; receiving, by an extrusion system, a silicone material; forming, by the extrusion system, a second layer including the silicone material adjacent to the first layer; and irradiating the silicone material with a radiation source to substantially cure the silicone material.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that include an operation chamber, a plasma generator having at least one plasma head disposed within the operation chamber and in proximity to a profile formed by cutting a piece of tubing, and a mechanical motion module. The plasma generator generates a plasma treatment and applies the plasma treatment via the at least one plasma head to the profile to activate material on an end surface of the profile, within a lumen of the profile, or a combination thereof. Once the material of the profile is activated by the plasma treatment, the mechanical motion module manipulates the profile to close the lumen of the profile to aseptically seal the profile.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that include providing a valve suitable for maintaining a seal and preventing fluid flow through the valve at cryogenic temperatures.
