    摘要: A thrust washer combination employing three thrust washers (28, 70 and 72) is provided for maintaining separation between and for transferring axial thrust to a mainshaft (2) that has been imparted to either one adjacent floating mainshaft gears (12, 18) of a change gear transmission (100) respectively by a clutch assembly (20) or (22) during the process of selectively clutchingly engaging one of gears (12, 18) to the mainshaft to effect the rotation thereof. Gears (12) and (18) have respective adjacent flanges (42) and (44) that extend towards mainshaft (48) with thrust washer (28) being contained in an annular groove (42) therebetween and keyed for rotation with mainshaft (2) and thrust washers (70) and (72) positioned on opposite sides of flanges (40, 42) and held thereagainst by retaining rings (74) and (76) respectively.

    摘要: A motor-operated actuator has a clutch members are set in slide recesses formed in a drive member which are regulated in movement with a clutch base. A protrusion is formed on each of the clutch members, and a groove is formed around the protrusion. Both end portions of a return spring are placed in the grooves of the clutch members, and fixed there by thermal caulking. Thereby, the clutch member is prevented from being damaged by unsatisfactory disengagement. The clutch members are prevented from being disconnected from the return spring, and the former can be positively connected to the latter with high efficiency.

    摘要: A clutch mechanism for engaging and disengaging the thread (14) of a worm (13) from the teeth (17) of a worm gear (16). The worm (13) is mounted in a carrier block (47), disposed in a cavity (39) of a housing (12), from translatory movement towards and away from the worm gear. Springs (52) normally bias the worm away from engagement with the worm gear, while air pressure (34) is used to force the worm towards and into engagement with the worm gear. The cavity (39) and block (47) are tapered to prevent binding during movement of the block, and a spur gear drive is used to drive the worm (13) by motor (22), with the spur gears (18) and (19) being in mesh at all times during movement of the block (47).
