Abstract: The developed method for reducing interference and noise reduction in systems with two signal paths is characterised in that the input signals x and y are supplied to the voltage adders SX and SY, and the components of the difference of these signals Uxy are added to the input signals x and y, but with opposite directions and the pairs of intermediate signals x1 and y1 and x1′ and y1′ are achieved, which are supplied respectively to the inputs of power combiners PC1 and PC2, whose output voltages, respectively the signals p1 and p1′ are compared with average values of pairs of signals x1 and y1 and x1′ and y1′, respectively as the values of Sr and Sr\ and the differences of these signals in the form of differential signals, respectively w1 and w1′, are supplied to the differential amplifiers with a gain kw and kw′, respectively, W1 and W2, whose output signals, respectively w2 and w2′ are supplied to the voltage adders, respectively SX and SY, at the output of which output signals x′ and y′ are achieved. For the assembly of two developed filters for a pair of signals of equal amplitude, damping of over 70 dB for angular differences at 25-180°, damping of over 40 dB for angular differences of +/−15° to +/−25° and damping of more than 40 dB for most signals of different amplitudes can be achieved.

Abstract: An interference canceller and a method for canceling interference are disclosed. The interference canceller includes: a subtractor to receive a primary signal including a desired signal and multiple interferers and to generate an output signal including the desired signal; a plurality of Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters, wherein each FIR filter receives a reference signal from a plurality of reference signals and outputs a filtered reference signal; and a plurality of loop filters, wherein each loop filter outputs coefficients. In the interference canceller, each of the reference signals includes signals from a subset of the multiple interferers, each loop filter corresponds to one of the FIR filters and receives the corresponding reference signal, each loop filter receives the output signal, the output coefficients of each loop filter are based on the output signal and the corresponding reference signal, the output coefficients adaptively adjust the filtered reference signal of the corresponding FIR filter, and the subtractor subtracts each of the filtered reference signals from the primary signal to generate the output signal.

Abstract: A tunable matching circuit for use with ultra-low power RF receivers is described to support a variety of RF communication bands. A switched-capacitor array and a switched-resistor array are used to adjust the input impedance presented by the operating characteristics of transistors in an ultra-low-power mode. An RF sensor may be used to monitor performance of the tunable matching circuit and thereby determine optimal setting of the digital control word that drives the switched-capacitor array and switched-resistor array. An effective match over a significant bandwidth is achievable. The optimal matching configuration may be updated at any time to adjust to changing operating conditions. Memory may be used to store the optimal matching configurations of the switched capacitor array and switched resistor array.

Abstract: Receivers in a mobile device are configured to mitigate receiver overload and fully or nearly-fully utilize available spectrum for communication. Configuration is dictated at least in part by at least one of radio link quality or available receiver specifications, and it can be affected by the mobile device or a base station that serves the mobile device. Receiver configuration includes various spectrally asymmetric receivers that tune respective disparate portions of the available spectrum to maximize utilization thereof in the spectral regions prone to overload conditions. In severe overload conditions, a single receiver can be configured to operate in a frequency band spectrally adjacent to a sub-band that leads to overload conditions when employed for telecommunication. To improve performance, the single receiver configuration can be supplemented with at least one of transmit diversity operation, asymmetric multicarrier spreading, or downlink power boost of asymmetrical multicarrier spreading.

Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a process for detecting power levels of signals of a group of signals that lie within a wideband channel, wherein the detecting of the power levels is according to an analysis order for the group of channels, determining an adaptive threshold based on power levels of at least some of the signals, and detecting interference associated with a channel of the group of channels based on the adaptive threshold. Abstract: Provided herein are systems and computer readable media for associating environmental measurements with an individual using a plurality of sensors, a plurality of tags and a plurality of receivers disposed about a monitored area. Various embodiments of the invention include: receiving blink data from receivers positioned about the monitored area, wherein the blink data is generated by at least one tag carried by the individual; determining tag location data based on the blink data, wherein the tag location data comprises a tag location estimate; associating the tag location data with an individual profile; receiving a sensor signal from a sensor comprising environmental measurements associated with the individual; receiving a sensor location associated with the sensor; comparing the tag location estimate to the sensor location; determining a sensor-individual correlator based on the proximity between the tag location estimate and the sensor location; and associating the sensor-individual correlator with the environmental measurements.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to activating an interference signal rejection filter path based on detection of an interference signal in a wireless distribution system (WDS). In this regard, in one aspect, a filter path selection circuit is configured to activate an interference rejection filter path configured to suppress a predefined interference signal when the predefined interference signal is detected in a received radio frequency (RF) signal. In another aspect, the filter path selection circuit is configured to detect the predefined interference signal by comparing a measured power level of the predefined interference signal against a predefined power threshold. By activating the interference rejection filter path to suppress the predefined interference signal based on detection of the predefined interference signal, it is possible to dynamically respond to the predefined interference signal that may randomly appear in the WDS, thus providing an enhanced overall RF performance in the WDS.

The system includes a processor configured to characterize the self-interference channel based upon the infinite impulse response.
