    摘要: A method of controlling the pressure applied to the engaged clutch of a vehicle having a dual clutch transmission to control the torque transferred across the engaged clutch thereby providing engine speed control for each gear based on the engine throttle position. The method includes the steps of determining the engine throttle position, determining the currently engaged gear of the transmission, and sensing the speed of the clutch. An engine stall speed is selected for the current gear and engine throttle position from a look-up table, and then a target engine speed based on the engine stall speed and the clutch speed is continuously redetermined, the clutch speed increasing in response to the increasing engine speed. The method also includes determining the difference between the target engine speed and the actual engine speed and then varying the torque transferred across the clutch driving the engaged gear to cause the engine to track the target engine speed based on the difference between the target engine speed and the actual engine speed.

    摘要: A continuously variable traction drive transmission of the class including three working bodies, two of which are concentric with a first transmission axis, the other of which is concentric with a second axis intersecting and inclined with respect to the first axis, and wherein the points of rolling friction contact lie in diagonal quadrants defined by the first axis and a line perpendicular to the first axis at the intersection thereof with the second axis. The body concentric with the second axis includes two oppositely convergent cone-like rolling surfaces of revolution about the second axis which are held in rolling friction engagement with annular plate-like members forming one of the two bodies concentric with the first axis. The other of the two bodies concentric with the first axis carries the body on the second axis in nutation and continuously variable speed ratios are achieved by adjusting the angle of first and second axis through 90.degree. to shift the points of contact between adjacent diagonal quadrants to reverse the rotation of the body concentric with the second axis.

    摘要: A variable speed drive varies the speed ratio between an input shaft and an output shaft. The input shaft is coupled to the output shaft through a cone which is connected to the input shaft by a rigid link and to the output shaft by a constant velocity joint. The cone rolls on a curvilinear surface to transmit motion from the input shaft to the output shaft. In order to vary the speed ratio, the position of the cone on the curvilinear surface is changed.

    摘要: A device which drives accessories such as an alternator or a cooling water pump utilizing output of an automobile engine, comprises an input shaft installed to an output shaft of the engine, a nonstage transmission with differential planetary mechanism of frictional transmission type installed between the shaft and a pulley connected to the accessory, a frictional transmission oil in an annular space enclosing the nonstage transmission, and forced cooling fans installed on both end plates of the pulley. Each forced cooling fan acts so that heat stored in the frictional transmission oil during the operation is effectively dissipated through the end plate to the outside. As a result, the transmission efficiency of the drive device is maintained at a high level.
