Abstract: A controlled fusion reactor that is constructed using two opposing bowl-shaped magnetic arrays that are covered by U.S. Pat. No. 8,638,186 B1 by the same inventor. The opposing bowl-shaped magnetic arrays are contained within a chamber under a high vacuum level and can be fed a controlled amount of a gas, such as hydrogen. Electrodes located in the bottom of the bowl-shaped arrays and the conductive screens surrounding the rim of the bowl-shaped magnetic arrays are supplied with high-voltage electricity which causes a high-velocity jet of plasma to be ejected from each opposing bowl-shaped magnetic array. The construction of the fusion reactor is such that the plasma jets collide in the middle of the reactor between the two bowl-shaped magnetic arrays. An additional element, such as boron, is fed to the reactor when the goal is the fusion of elements such as hydrogen and boron.

Abstract: Approaches for assessing hemodynamic characteristics for an organ of interest are related. In one implementation, a fluid dynamics model may be provided with data derived from an anatomic imaging modality and blood flow information derived by ultrasound to derive the desired hemodynamic characteristics. In one such implementation, a fractional flow reserve is estimated.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves selling virtual items for an application via electronic commerce systems. A catalog of virtual items is stored in a data store, where each of the virtual items relates to an interaction with an application. An electronic commerce system is provided that facilitates a purchase of one of the virtual items via a client device over a network, where the one of the virtual items is purchased in association with an application account associated with the application. The electronic commerce system also informs the application of the purchase of one of the virtual items to facilitate use of the purchased virtual item during interaction by a user with the application.

Abstract: A device which illuminates internal tissue and organs of a patient. The illumination member includes an array of light-emitting diodes (“LEDs”). The arrangement of the array depends on the configuration of the device and the procedure for which the device is being used. In all cases, the illumination member is used to illuminate relevant organs or structures in the body in order to increase visibility during surgical procedures. The LED array reduces the potential for inadvertent injury to internal structures for procedures located throughout the body. These procedures include those involving the reproductive organs of males and females, gastric and bariatrics, and other structures in the abdomen.

Abstract: A tilt-based interface controls the position of a cursor on a graphical user interface (GUI) for mobile devices based on changes in the orientation of the device. Cursor positioning and user interface element selection may be accomplished without touching the screen or clicking a button to indicate the user's selection. The underlying coordinate system to which cursor movement is mapped is transformed to alter the speed and behavior of the cursor when the cursor reaches a user-selectable interface elements.
