Abstract: An article or garment comprising a micro hook-and-loop closure system is provided herein. The article comprises at least one extremity-covering portion. The distal end of the extremity-covering portion comprises a first textile at an outer-facing surface and a second textile at an inner-facing surface. The second textile includes micro hook or micro loop materials that releasably mate with complementary micro hook or micro loop materials of the first textile in order to place the micro hook-and-loop closure system in a closed configuration. The placement, size, and shape of each of the first and second textiles, as extending from a distal end toward a proximal end of the article, enable the article or garment to be expediently and comfortably donned and doffed.

Abstract: A clothing system has removable leggings that have two legging portions. Each legging portion has an ankle end and a distal end; the distal end has at least one attachment mechanism and a seam of the distal end has elastic material there within. A shorts portion has a waistband and at least one mating attachment mechanism. A skirt portion is affixed to the shorts portion at the waistband. When worn, each of the legging portions is connected to the shorts portion by the attachment mechanisms and respective mating attachment mechanisms in the shorts portion and the shorts portion substantially covers and hides the distal end of each of the legging portions. When the skirt portion is deployed, the skirt portion substantially covers the shorts portion and, when the skirt portion is not deployed, the skirt portion is worn over the waistband to provide the appearance of a belt.

Abstract: An insect-repelling leg garment wearable on a person generally comprising a tubular member and a semi-conical section fabricated from a piece of fabric sheeting impregnated with an insect-repelling solution. The semi-conical section includes an elastic strap configured to engage a structural feature of an article of clothing. The tubular member includes a lower portion having a circumferential sleeve for accommodating therewithin a drawstring equipped with a drawstring tie for closing and sealing an annular opening formed by a circular wall section and one's leg. An elastic circular band positioned at the lower portion simultaneously engages loops connected to the lower portion and one's footwear such as to oppose the upward tensioning caused by the elastic strap, whereby the insect repellency inherently present within the fabric sheeting and the structural barriers inherently present within the leg garment collectively serve to protect the lower extremities of one's body against biting insects.

Abstract: The protective leg or arm covering is manufactured from a sheet of material that is cut or sewn into a blank having the shape to protect the portion of the leg or arm desired. The leg and arm protector features: (1) elastic webbing straps for versatility and hook and loop fasteners for closure; (2) a single strip of loop fastener placed down the middle of the inside of the leg and arm protector so that knee pads, shin guards, thigh pads, and/or arm guards can be secured by placing hook fasteners on one side of the pads and guards, also making them fully adjustable when placed along the inside strip of loop fastener; (3) a horizontal patch of hook fastener placed at the lower elevation on the inside of the leg and arm protector creating the ability for height adjustment to be made by securing to the strip of loop fastener placed along the middle of the inside of the leg and arm protector; (4) a pocket is formed by adding another sheet of material to the inside or outside surface of the leg and arm protector; this pocket can be used to insert pads, guards and other accessories for protection when placed on the inside of the leg and arm protector and as a carrying aid when placed on the outside of the leg and arm protector.

Abstract: A protective garment for shielding a wearer from snake bites upon the lower portion of the leg is disclosed. The garment is a legging made of woven fabric which will protect against snake bites even when the snake has fangs longer than the thickness of the material. The legging has two separate side edges extending all along its length and includes a strap, fabric fastener strips, and snap and socket fastener in order to provide adjustability, prevent gaps between the side edges, and minimize the risk that the fabric fasteners would become separated.

Abstract: Leg warmers which include a panel having at least one layer of thermal insulation and a closure system. The panel is designated to wrap around the wearer's leg from foot to crotch, and the closure system provides an essentially moisture and airtight seam between the edges of the panel.
